Escape to the tranquility of this unique, two bedroom, two bath cabin on a rushing trout stream in the Great Smokey Mountains! (No smoking inside cabin. Minimum stay of 3 nights. No children under 5. Five night minimum during holidays. No more than 2 dogs. No more than two children under the age of 15.)

You can fish for trout, splash in the creek and pan for gold -- all in your own back yard! Laze away the hours in the hammock under the shade trees or spend time relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying the soothing sounds of the creek. Sit around a campfire and roast marshmallows over the fire pit by the creek. Top off the day with a close-up view of the heavens (telescope on site). Enjoy a relaxing weekend getaway, a romantic retreat, or a fun-filled, action-packed vacation.

You will be just minutes away from the famous Tellico Mountains, close to the Ocoee, the Nantahala, the Hiawassee, and the Notley Rivers and to several major lakes (Lake Chatuge, Lake Hiawassee, Lake Ocoee, Appalachia Lake, and Lake Santeetlah). You'll be able to enjoy Whitewater Rafting, Kayaking, River Tubing, Boating, Hiking, Horseback Riding, and Golf. There are several Zip Lines in the area, snow tubing and World-Class Motorcycling. You may want to try your luck at Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino -- just a few minutes from downtown Murphy. Be sure to pay a visit to the famous John C. Campbell Folk School (weekly events during the Summer). Go Antique Shopping, visit several local flea markets, or take a trip on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. You'll be just 2 hours or less from Atlanta GA (world-famous Georgia Aquarium), Chattanooga TN, Knoxville TN, Franklin NC, Asheville NC (Biltmore Estate), Cherokee, NC, (Cherokee Indian Reservation, Museum, Shopping and Casino), Gatlinburg TN, Pigeon Forge TN (home of Dollywood) and Helen Ga.

Paved roads from downtown to the cabin. Well maintained in inclement weather. A great way to enjoy a bit of snow in the colder months.

We had a very nice time. The only thing is we couldn’t get the washing machine to run. But all in all we enjoyed our time. Even saw cows grazing in the pasture across the creek.

Beautiful serene getaway in the mountains.
The location is remote so if you’re looking to getaway from it all. This is the place to be. The cabin is adorable and has everything you need. It’s spotless. You feel like you are in a log cabin in the woods. The fireplace was so nice to have on those cooler evenings. The large back deck that overlooks looks the trout stream is so tranquil and relaxing. You will soon feel the stress melting away. There are fishing poles there to try your luck at trout fishing. It’s a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this mountain cabin. And Dennis was a pleasure to work with.

Thanksgiving getaway
Me and my family had a wonderful time here. The property is very lovely. Sitting and listening to the creek was so peaceful. Overall this is a perfect getaway, especially for allowing pets. Our dogs had a blast on the property. I only have a couple of critiques since I know this is what is really wanted out of a review. The property is listed as secluded and there is a home next door. The pull out sofa could use a better mattress. A small island in the kitchen would do wonders in preparing food, as we had to do this on the dining table. I would stay at this property again:)
