"We loved this property, it was quaint, pretty and a fantastic location near the river. The garden was so lovely and relaxing with and abundance of birds to watch. A good base for visiting the surrounding countryside and towns. Julie and her husband were so kind providing us with produce from the garden . "In summary - quiet, rural, friendly. Beautifully decorated, comfy and warm room part of, but separate from, the main house. Lots of well behaved dogs, chooks, guinea fowl, cats to share the stay with. Bonus was the cooked breakfast! Axedale is on the rail bike trail and Bendigo has so much to offer!"

"I specifically Chose This accommodation As It advertised payment on arrival. I was frustrated and upset on arrival to be told by reception our booking was being canceled due to my credit card not being "valid". I Use a Load and Go Visa for Hotel bookings on A Regular Basis And This Is The First accommodation Provider To refuse A booking. I Had To Contact A Relative To Arrange Another Credit Card For "security" purposes. The room was a very poor example of 1980's take on Victorian Era Decoration....
