"Peaceful, friendly down-home vibe unlike any other. Homey, safe, family feel in every way. Love what the ‘new’ owners are doing to improve and honor the traditions of this very historic retreat. I came here first as a child, before the old hotel burned, and have known it through the decades. We will be back! Thank you, Sandy and partners! 💙"

"This is a great location, just a block from downtown W Jefferson. The kitchen layout is excellent, with a separate dining area adjacent to the back porch (which is a small cement space). The living room is nicely laid out, but should have a larger table. The bedrooms are small, with inadequate storage space for extended stays, but the bedding was nice (despite the bed being a bit too soft). The front porch is very nice, and looks out to the mountains of W Jefferson (but, unfortunately, also looks out to a parking lot and the back of a factory). So, why a 5 star? Great location, nicely decorated, great kitchen, and spacious front porch. Why did I struggle giving that 5th star? Inadequate storage, factory view from the front porch, and needs larger LR table. In short: Great spot for a few days, but needs to be set up more functionally for longer stays."

10/10 Excellent
"We loved this tiny house, which definitely did not feel that small. The house is so cute and the location couldn’t be better. West Jefferson is an adorable little town and we will definitely be back. "

8/10 Good
"The house was clean and pretty well kept. We did not eat there except for breakfast (2 days). The kitchen was adequate and well equipped.
The Kin-bed-room had unfolded sheets and blankets in the closet - ewwww!
I was disheartened to find that there were only 2 bathrooms (I had thought there were 3 - I misread), and it was VERY inconvenient that the upstairs bathroom was in the king-bed-room and the other upstairs room tenants needed to come through (our) bedroom to use it - day and night.
Another major issue was that a senior family member (age 91) routinely locked the room door after early bedtime - locking other bedroom tenant out with no key to make entry!
There was also no light bulb in the stair well making a poorly lit stairs."
