"Hip place to stay with incredibly easy check in and check out with a bilingual staff in a terrific location. A lot of solid places to eat within a block or two. Quite inexpensive for what you get! "

"Not certain what I can add, to the multitude of reviews already submitted. The great: - Excellent central location, walking distance to museums, restaurants, shops, etc. - The staff I dealt with were polite, helpful and friendly. The good: - The free breakfast had a good selection of food, and operated from 6:00-10:00 AM. The early start was helpful for guests going on early tours, or departing for the airport early, who could have breakfast before leaving. - The bathroom in my room had instant hot water, unlike many LATAM hotels and hostels which have lukewarm water at best, after running the water for 5 minutes. The Average: - the wifi was spotty. In my room, my iPhone had virtually no connectivity. My tablet was better. I sometimes had to go to the lobby to get strong enough wifi for some online activities. - Yes, the hotel is old. All the bathroom fixtures, light switches, etc., are old school, but in good repair. Just don’t expect a lot of modern conveniences. For example, my bathroom was very tiny, to the point where my knees would touch the opposite wall while I was sitting on the toilet The Poor: - My room was adjacent another establishment, so noise from next door was common, via the window, though generally tapered off around 11:00 PM. Also, the interior hard surfaces of the hotel (tile, hardwood doors, metal keyed locks) were conducive to noise transmission. I tried to be mindful of this when coming and going at quiet times, but many guests were not. "

"The service from everyone at the hotel was impeccable - friendly and professional. Good location right on the main square. Hotel has maintained a good part of its colonial heritage. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The only negative is that the room was carpeted. Wooden floors would be a big improvement."

"The hotel is fantastic: I traveled with my two sons, both minors. The location has an excellent location downtown, half a block from the ‘Legislature’, a park “plaza Guemes”, and three blocks from the Cathedral. Extremely safe area, with public transportation and a gas station across the street opened 24/7. The main museums are within a brief walking distance (Conoce Salta, Museo Guemes, Museo Arqueológico), all worth seeing. Lots of place to eat in the area. Street with “Peñas”, folklore shows, Calle Balcarce, is practically around the corner. Supermarket is a block away. Staff is warm and extremely willing to go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. They provided us with a plug for our phones, hot water for drinks, utensils if needed to eat in the room. Pool is heated, has a great size, is very clean and it is available from 8am to 11pm. Great to chill after all the excursions. Restaurant at the hotel is great as well and will save you from deciding where to eat once back from excursions. Book it, worth every penny. "
