Cute place
My husband and I spent the weekend here for our anniversary. It’s a good sized apartment, not fancy but clean and comfortable. Good location close to downtown. Bathroom door doesn’t really shut all the way but other than that everything was fine. We enjoyed our stay

Super close (2 blocks) to all that Grand Haven, MI has to offer. Very clean and quiet building. We did not have to use our vehicle the entire time we visited, everything is that close! Our 1st time in Grand Haven and we will definitely be back.

Pleasant place
Kitchen was missing hot pads. It would have been nice if the bathroom & bedroom doors shut all the way. Overall we enjoyed our stay...thank you!

Perfect location for all things Grand Haven!
We booked our short stay last minute and had a wonderful experience! The house was super close to everything downtown, had been cleaned beautifully prior to our arrival, and had everything we needed. My only wish would be maybe washer/dryer access but the property and hosts were outstanding- we’d definitely return! Thank you to the wonderful hosts!

Great price for the location
Robin was very helpful. The place was perfect walking distance to downtown and the waterfront. The apartment could use a few updates here and there, however the price was great for the location and the apartment was clean.

This property was perfect for the 4 of us. It had everything we needed. It’s nothing fancy but everything was in good working order and was in the perfect location. Close to everything. The owner even allowed us to store our bikes inside the entryway.

Cozy Apartment
The space is clean and cozy- close to downtown and about a mile walk to the beach. The only thing I would recommend is mentioning that the apartment is up steep stairs which was no problem for our family, but if my parents came- they would struggle going up the stairs. I would have also have liked a toaster, but otherwise it was great.

Great location!!
We had a really great time staying here this weekend. The location is perfect for walking and going to restaurants and other places. The apartment overall was good, had everything we needed. The air conditioner was good,in the bedroom, but struggled in the living room. You could hear your neighbors as the door has a wide opening at the bottom. Overall though great place to stay and enjoy a weekend with family or friends!

Great location
The accommodations were good. The house had a wierd funeral home vibe, actually is a lawyers office on the 1st floor with 2 apartment style rooms on the steep, creeky steps to the 2nd floor. Its a very old house, and the renovations were obviously cosmetic to cover up issues. Worst things were no outlets in the bathroom, showerhead was about 5' from the floor, and the major issue i had was there was a deadbolt on the exterior door, but it DOESN'T actually function. Overall, the location to ALL downtown activities including the beach and lake more than overcomes the issues we had.

Close to Festival
This property couldn't be any closer to the festival or boardwalk. So, it was great access to events and places and just the right amount of walking. The upper unit we stayed in was a little older but clean and nice. We stayed for 5 days during the 2018 festival season with our 4 year old, who slept in the front room. As a safety inspector, I noted there were older (non-grounded) electrical outlets that the window air conditioning units were plugged into. Also, the fridge was permanently plugged into an extension cord, which can be a fire hazard.

Liked: Check-in
My stay
It was the bare minimum at the place. It could have been decorated a little nicer. Little things were missing like waste basket in the toilet area. No plug in the bathroom. Shampoo and conditioner would have been nice. Just the little things to make it feel like home. The key was not left. They came and dropped the key right away. We didn’t check the key, but when we came back it was still the wrong key. It was not a big deal, but a little money back would have been nice. The location was perfect! So it made it worth it to be there.

Quick Trip
We decided a week before the 4th of July to make a quick trip to Michigan. Robyn was great to work with and very knowledgeable about the area. The apartment was larger than expected and 1 block from town and only 2 blocks from the pier. We parked our car and didn't use it again until we left. Grand Haven is a wonderful friendly town with lots to do. The farmers market was great. Walking along the boardwalk was relaxing and very enjoyable. Jumpin Java is a great place for coffee in the morning, or a snack in the afternoon. We enjoyed the Tri-City Museum as we learned about the Indians and how Grand Haven developed throughout the years. We enjoyed watching the Coast Guard ships coming in and out and actually watched them rescue a boat and bring it back to the harbor. There were kayaks available to rent as well as bicycles. There are also boats available to rent. We didn't do any of this on this trip, but probably will the next time we are there. We'd recommend the apartment for a small group only because of the bed situation. 1 queen and a futon, which worked out great for us...

Great location, but apartment needs a lot of work
First, I'll just say that the location can't be beat. The owner, also, was quite friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the apartment itself was is pretty poor shape -- enough so that I seriously considered going elsewhere even though we'd lose our money. I HATE to leave a negative review and never have before, but part of why I'm doing so now is that I honestly felt misled by the listing and the other reviews. This is my sixth online rental through VRBO or other sites, and I'm sorry to say it was the worst conditions I've encountered. Just a few things: - The toilet didn't work right. It ran and ran and didn't fill the tank. We had to call the owner late one night to come fix it. While she was accommodating (as previously mentioned), I got the impression that this was a known issue that she attributed to "the old plumbing." We left the next morning but had to address the issue a number of times before we checked out. - The floors are very uneven to the point that there are even cracks in the kitchen's vinyl flooring. My daughter fell once and got a little rug burn on her nose. A lot of what the owner attributes to the building's "historic" nature instead just seems old and shabby. - The shower ran poorly and the door didn't close because loose screws were poking out where the door should catch. The toilet paper holder, too, was coming off of the wall. - The house was fairly clean but certain things (windows, doorways, light switches, etc.) were grimey and hadn't been washed in a while. - This was not a family friendly place. One large metal vent in the entrance way was sort of bent and gaping open in a way that could be a hazard to kids (hard to explain without pictures). - The individual units are not marked or numbered, which is probably why a group of children from another unit mistakenly came into our unit at one point during our stay (yikes!). If you're someone looking to rent a place based on location alone, and you're used to perhaps staying in a hostel-type accommodation, then this might be perfect. Otherwise, especially if you have kids, I might try someplace else.
