I need a refund for this property because it is an extremely falsified and deceptive marketing of a property. One can actually fall victim to a felony crime there not to mention the awful level of cleanilineaa, rudeness of the staff and dining is excruciatingly vile. I can stay quiet about some hotels but not this one. Please contact me immediately to give me a refund. Sincerely, Vivek

I travelled here for a solo trip. The staff was very professional. The facility is not worth what they charge! The first room I got was dusty and the cleaning detergent smell was still so strong, I had a headache. I asked to be moved to another room. The staff assisting stated the place had the strong smell coz the room was not aired. I was offered an upgrade for a cost. The new room was $35 upgrade fee and $35 resort fee (which was not mentioned when upgrading) and a couple dollars for taxes EACH NIGHT! As we checked the rooms out I couldn’t hesitate noting the dirty corridors and old buildings! I don’t feel like I got a value for my money! I would totally not stay here again!

The room I first got assigned floor was dusty and the cleaning detergents smell was so strong I got a headache from. The staff stated the room just needing more time to air. I had to upgrade to another room which was a fee of $35 per night and another $35 resort fee each night and additional couple of dollars for taxes. The corridors are not well kept, they are dirty. This place is over priced. I didn’t feel like I got the value for my money!

Went to get ice, no signage for ice machines (only on certain floors), went to call front desk to ask, phone did not work, small ants in in bathroom coming from door stop area, banging on door late night and unable to call desk from room phone cause it didn’t work. Did speak with manager next morning asking for partial refund and she agreed to. Waiting to see.

The Ellie is a glorified, overly expensive motel at its best. The property is extremely run down and dirty. The check-in process is extremely confusing as they share the desk with another hotel. The staff is not friendly or helpful, and let’s not even get started on the room. Not only is it noisy until late in the night (4am), but the AC kept going on and off and making terrible noises. The room floor was also covered in sand. I would suggest that Expedia takes it off its list of recommended hotels. As a Platinum member I was so disappointed with this suggestion and the fact that I paid for a night what I would pay at a luxury hotel and got a dumpster in return.

We left some clothes in the closet. We called a few hours after checking out and several times after that. We never spoke to anyone that could help. They would tell us that they would call back but never did. Poor customer service in my opinion.

I read some mixed reviews about this property and was a little worried about booking it, however, it was an impromptu trip and there was limited availability in the area. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the property was, from the cleanliness to the amenities to the staff and the food. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it!

We had heard that the property had under gone some recent renovations and we were a bit concerned they might adversely affect our 6-night stay...a YouTube segment I watched didn't leave me with a nice taste in my mouth at the time. However, The Ellie was in nice shape overall and the staff mad our early morning arrival in town a pleasant one with pool access to rest as our room was ready yet. My wife and daughter had breakfast at the café each morning, and it was handy with a buffet option and friendly service! Free ice water and morning coffee in the Lobby was a nice touch, as was the Lobby Bar's Happy Hour from 3-6pm. The big pool at The Ellie with the waterslides and pool bar was awesome...staff everywhere and safety was a priority for kids. Cabana rentals for $150 USD/day with only water included was a surprising price point and they largely remained empty because of that...if they had included some other food/beverages with it I might've reserved one. Requested replacement water a few times that never showed up, but did eventually if I was persistent. Room cleaning and towel/pillow replenishment was on point each day. You may have a hike to the Lobby or Uber pick up if your room is on the North side of the hotel in the rooms ending in the 90s (they have the nicest sunrise views though!) as there is only one way to that side on each floor, unless you're at the Pool and then there's a nearby elevator. Accessibility is limited to this depending on where your room is.
