The Magical Cabin in the Pines.
The cabin is a magical place. The pond, the trees, the property and trails. We sincerely did not want leave when our time was up... Haven't been that relaxed in years! Take care of the place and it'll take care of you! We'll be back for sure!

Phenomenal
Way nicer than the pictures even show. We went down for the NMRA/NMCA races, and the cabin as only 7 minutes away from the racetrack. It was in back of a very nice area of town, with very well maintained property. The cabin was in perfect condition, and felt like a complete escape. Massive pine trees everywhere, and a great dock and water access. There's even a funny Muscovy duck who likes to come hang out down by the water. I'd go back in a heart beat!

Slice of heaven
Lisa was an incredibly accommodating host and the property is my idea of heaven. My dog and I enjoyed meandering walks in the woods and swimming in the pond. I could lay on that hammock forever and be perfectly content. Absolutely would love to come back here again and again.

Awesome weekend
Beautiful cabin, rented it for the weekend for a family get together enjoyed my daughter 16th birthday party. There had everything we needed beautiful view. Everybody could stretch out some fished, some sat on the beautiful porch and enjoyed the View for hours!!! Just A cozy getaway for the perfect weekend to decompress. Has everything you need right there tucked into the pines!!!! A little slice of heaven ❤️

Beautiful and peaceful
We had a wonderful time at this peaceful little cabin. We enjoyed watching the geese on the pond, the deer in the woods, and paddling out into the pond. We relaxed and spent time with friends we hadn't seen in almost a full year! Time we'll spent and we will be staying again on the adventure. Maybe next time we will wonder a little farther into town to see what rockingham has to offer. Otherwise we enjoyed our home cooked meals and the outdoor time.

Perfect Guys Weekend
I don't even know where to start. I wanted a guys weekend with my son, son-in-law, and 4 grandsons (ages 8-15). Full disclosure, I was raised in Rockingham, but I had no idea this property existed. My first impression was WOW! Tucked away behind a beautiful residential community, but you would never know it. The cabin sits above the 2 acre pond. The property is "manicured" but natural. The "cabin" is warm and comfortable. It has everything you need to make your stay a relaxing experience. Leather sectional, A/C, large TV, dining area, and the loft with three queen mattresses were a HUGE hit for the grandsons. It was fun enjoying my morning coffee (provided) and watching the guys make their way down the loft one-by-one. They also enjoyed the fast internet for all of their devices. The two-sided wrap-around porch was perfect to sit and enjoy the scenery. With that said, the real "star of the show" is the 2 acre pond with a pier. The owners provide life vests, a Jon boat, and enough fish to keep you busy. The seven of us were spread out around the perimeter with plenty of room to enjoy "our" fishing hole. We gave EVERY fish an opportunity to be caught and released. The grandsons used the boat and brought kayaks to paddle the pond. It was fun to see us all engaged and having fun. Swimming, exploring, and fishing kept us busy ALL day. Seeing the grandsons OFF of their devices during the day was a welcome sight. The self imposed "no video gaming", and youTube, tells you all you need to know about the pond. I could go on and on about our glorious 5 star weekend, but I'll leave you with this. Book this property!! There was never a discussion about leaving the property to "sightsee". We hated to see the weekend come to an end. I asked, and they all said they wanted this to be an annual experience. That is the best endorsement I can give you. 💙
