"It was a quick stop for us so we didn't mind a traditional Japanese business hotel. Room size was decent while furniture outdated. Mattress was not super comfortable but nothing too much beyond our expectation. Check-in staff speak little English but were generally helpful. Parking lot is narrow, but again all within our expectations. Area is vibrant with a good range of restaurant options and very walkable. Value for the price."
"Nice, clean hostel with a couple of private rooms. Rooms are basic, but s good value for the price. Of note, the private rooms are on the fifth floor accessible by a steep, narrow staircase - we needed to repack ski bags for our flight the next morning and it was a struggle to get them to our room. Great restaurant on the first floor."

"Great experience staying here. The beds are comfortable, and the complimentary drinks after 3 pm is a comfort to travelers. It's closed to Hokkaido University, which is pretty. "

"We stayed 1 night at Emion Sapporo. We arrived early in the morning, left our luggage with the reception and when we returned in the evening, our luggage were already up in our room. This is good service! The room is considerably big compared to most hotels in the city and very clean too. There’s a public bath in the hotel for us to enjoy a soak after all the walking! Overall, enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Emion.

"Self check in was very easy, and they gladly held our bags because we were early. Room was a little tight/small, but it was clean. We got a smoking room for some reason, so there was a noticeable (but not too heavy) smell of smoke. They provided a room and clothing spray, which was very thoughtful and we used it often. It's located very close to the train station so it was easy to get around. The free breakfast had a great spread of Japanese foods and some Western foods."
