"This Lishan Guest House is a former State Guesthouse, for visiting Bigwigs to Taiwan.
As such it is very imposing and proper, with all amenities (except a House Bar).
there is even a room dedicated to Chiang Kai-sheks stays in-house: his bed, bathtub, etc.

"This place is so beautiful! We are amazed by the design and layout that reflected so much thoughts and effort to make guests feel comfortable .... the house is so clean and cosy! It was a wonderful experience. "
"For the price, you could find a better one close by. The only interesting thing in the hotel is the hot bath as seen in their listing and a bigger version at the common space that I didn’t try because I alr have one in my room. The room is subpar. The breakfast included is just a stub from the store across the street. The food ain’t bad but you would assume it’s a breakfast from the hotel. The staff are nice though. And gotta say, if you wanna hike Matcha Mountain, it’s a best spot. I ended up...
"The room is so small. Outside the window is a wall. So the room is very dark & depressing feeling. The staffs are very friendly. The breakfast, afternoon tea & late night snacks are all good but always long line waiting & very busy. Not a relaxing experience. Moved out after one night stay. "
"Room has a musky mouldy smell when we enter. Perhaps due to the moisture from hot spring bath that is attached to the room. Our beds were not made on the second day. Pillows not entirely enjoyable to use. Bed is good. Bkfast and supper spread is delightful. "

"Clean and comfortable room with serviceable features. Very kid friendly hotel, highlight being the cars on level 8. The buffet breakfast was pretty average. The famous restaurant lived up to it's reputation."
