"If you want a Robinson Crusoe holiday, Head Tien is as good as it gets if you still want an ensuite, a restaurant and a pool. Utterly charming place, could do a bit more on maintenance, cleanliness & shuttle options for the price, but the staff and location make up for any gaps. The snorkling is also great - shoals of large parrot fish chopping on coral. Be aware that it is on an almost vertical hill, so lots of steps up to rooms and down to restaurants so if you're not fit, it might not be...

"The beach at this hotel is super pretty and room bed comfy with nice balcony ocean view. Chill / social vibes overall at hotel. Surrounding area super quiet especially at night if that’s what you’re after. I didn’t like the bathroom of the room, water spraying everywhere from shower with no curtain. Also no water bottles in room and no cleaners came in. Overall cheaper stay and still a spacious comfort room to stay in. "

"Great quiet spot north of all the busyness, but walkable 10mins along the beach. Good to escape the burnt backpackers and chill. Sea good for a dip/snorkel. Rooms are large. Happy hour cocktails on beachfront. Sairee beach was not really for me after the chilled vibe of the south but worth it for the amazing sunsets."

So many great options to order in from local restaurants and also had walkability to beach and local shops. This place is perfect for a couple wanting to relax and retreat but also want to explore the beautiful island of Koh Tao. The pool view was magical. "I'D RATHER LEAVE MY NEWBORN BABY AT THE HOSPITAL THAN LEAVE OUR VILLA! (just kidding...) BUT it was truly the most amazing vacation ever from start to finish.
