" The City Mill hotel is a beautiful hotel along the river walk. The mill renovations are wonderful. My room had a view of the river and it was great.The service: front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast area people were helpful, approachable, and kind. The restaurant was conveniently located. The dinner meal I ordered was delicious. The free continental breakfast from the hotel was a pleasant addition. I can't remember when I enjoyed a hotel stay this much!!!"

"The night desk clerk was just the best! I was in town for my son’s Turning Green ceremony at Ft. Moore. Tbh there aren’t a lot of nice places to stay within 15 minutes of the base. I highly recommend staying here. I felt very safe while I was there even though it feels a little isolated at night. The parking lot is monitored and very well lit. The hotel is close to base and, contrary to what you might hear, your new soldier is allowed to stay in Alabama. They just aren’t allowed to be farther...

"The personnel was attentive and responsive. I enjoyed interacting with the front desk person and others. We liked the spacious room and the amenities it had. That said, the bathroom was ill equipped--we had to ask for toilet paper as well as soap and shampoo (all of which was PROMPTLY provided). It turned out that there were no shower receptacles for the soap and shampoo as the other rooms had, so the large refill containers we were given were not very practical for us. "I stayed there for two nights with my family. The rooms are big, clean, and very comfortable. The property seems very new, but, one of the two elevators was broken. Additionally, the two mornings we were there the pancake machine was broken, they only had whole wheat bread (no white, bagels, rolls), they ran out of eggs, sausage, and coffee and were extremely slow to fill them again. Parking, although adequate for the facility, was a little challenging due to accommodation of an event over the weekend. Staff was professional and courteous."

Great place!

"This is a great little apartment. We enjoyed our stay. The host got back to us quickly. The neighborhood is a little questionable, but the neighbors are kind. There is an issue with the shower. It is either scalding hot, or ice cold. There is no in-between. We let the host know so I hope this gets fixed. Overall, I think this is a great place and I would recommend others to stay as long as the shower gets fixed."
