"Stayed at this basic hotel for three nights. Spacious room. Could do with a repaint. Nice breakfast in courtyard cooked to order. Good location near river and Royal Palace. A good price. They had their own tuk tuk driver (Un) who was very nice and trustworthy. We hired him to take us to The Killing Fields and Genocide Museum and we waited for us and charged us for the round-trip. Would recommend doing that."

"Stayed here before few times. So that's a recommendation. Late at night it is a bit dodgy area. So take a tuktuk if you are drunk and it is 2am. Don't take a room on the 10th floor because the pool is right above you and pipes or whatever can be noisy. The pool and tub and bar on the 11th floor are very nice and relaxed with great view, definitely a nice place to spend a sunny afternoon. Breakfast buffet has a huge variety, though I miss the anchovies as part of the salad bar."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Palace Gate Hotel! Our suite was huge and comfortable, with great views. The common areas are lovely. The staff were all super nice and helpful in the hotel (less so in the restaurant for breakfast). Communication was excellent starting even before our arrival. We would skip the breakfast buffet next time though, since the staff couldn’t care enough to keep hot coffee available, and the supposedly warm food was usually cold.
