"Very rural location which meant we were very aware of the noise of village dogs during the night. It is an 8 minute tuktuk ride from the Dambulla bus stand, but only a 600 metre walk to the access to the Dambulla Cave Temples. The bathroom was tired and could do with a significant refresh."

Heinz was most helpful in sugges outings and arranging driver. A few niggles: Breakfasts like all in Sri Lanka could use some tweaking with toast presented first to go cold and items not offered but available such as tomatoes or bacon: readily provided when requested. "Sad case of lovely hotel falling into decay after Covid. We four were only guests for our two day stay. Staff could not do enough but could not find booking, pool very neglected and rooms although enormous could do with a large amount of tender loving care. One I hope succeeds in the future."
