"I cannot say enough good things about my time at this resort. It definitely exceeded all of my expectations. The location is beautiful, the meals were good, the room (beachfront villa) was amazing and the staff were wonderful. The ONLY word of advice I have is to make sure you bring a few between meal snacks with you. There are no options to grab a little something to snack on after hours of snorkeling…. "Nice accommodation for budget travellers. The room was clean and spacious and the „resort“ is slowly being renovated. You have got an incredibly large reef along the entire beach and can even visit some reef sharks. The hike to Honeymoon Beach takes less than ten minutes. Staff was friendly and helpful but not as warm-hearted as at other accommodations. Super friendly staff

"Our lasting memory of Nanuya Island Resort will be the welcoming and friendly staff. Their warmth and hospitality was appreciated - including the songs and entertainment! We stayed in one of the tree-top bures, which was a bit of a hike (especially after dinner). It was clean but quite small. If you're looking for more space and air conditioning, check out the deluxe units."

"-Seaside bures were so lovely and cool even though no ac or wifi, the outdoor shower was beautiful -The staff are incredibly friendly and have made us want to come back just for kuata -The food was great with mostly buffet style. Not many options if you have diet restrictions though or allergies. -The dive team was super professional and did such a good job to help us all do a shark dive, we are super thankful. -I had a bad experience at the spa so I wouldn’t recommend it. -The Fiji night, signing dancing were all apart of giving us such a great experience. -The dining outside for dinner is super cute and romantic although no options if it rains. Highly recommend. "

There are 3 pools and a nice stretch of beach with great snorkeling right there. Daily activities including snorkel by boat, guided hikes on surrounding islands, fishing, etc helped ensure there was always something to do. The food was fabulous with fine-dining experiences for dinner every night. The staff was friendly, chatting and seemed genuinely happy for us to be there while the second resort we stayed at in the Mamanuca Islands didn't have the same vibe. We hope to go back again!"

"This resort is one of the best we have ever stayed at. This is very much due to the staff. They were all amazing and accommodating. It’s a tiny resort with only ten rooms, but all of them have amazing views. The food is great and since it is so small you truly get to meet all the guests. We met some awesome people from Australia, so shout out to Nina, Milton, Emily, James, Steve and Kelly! The only thing that was strange for me was the saloon door on the bathroom. No privacy but we have been married a long time. I would definitely come back again❤️"

Island village escape

"What a wonderful experience. Starts with a beautiful open boat ride with your host Bill and Paula from the big island to your homestay. The water is crystal clear. Keep your eyes open for fish and other marine life. Your first view of your cabin is right when the boat comes in to drop you off. Be prepared that you might get a little wet as you wade in from the boat. The cabin is very rustic but spacious and clean. There is all the bedding you need and mosquito nets over most the beds. The shower and toilet is just out the back door in seperate stalls with a light . Bill and Paula very clearly explain meal times, protocol in the 2 villages that are very walkable, what excursion are available and include you in the various village activities. They were great in answering all our questions. Meals were very generous in serving size and much of the food served was harvested from their land or the sea. You eat what they eat ,a very authentic meal experience .You take your meals up the hill to their house out on a open deck. View is beautiful. We enjoyed both the swim with mantas and night fishing.Its shallow right in front of the cabin but you can still snorkle. It is fun to walk through the village sitting out on the mats with the local people. All are so friendly and enjoyable to hear their stories. We had the priviledge of being able to attend one of their celebrations. Hospitality was great. Souvenirs are available which support locals. Hard to leave new friends. "
