"We had a 1-night layover in Athens, and this was a great option for us as we did not want to go into the city of Athens overnight. Instead we wanted a hotel close to the airport, and ideally one located close to the ocean. The Avra is the perfect mix. It's located in Rafina, a seaside fishing town/suburb, that is also one of the two main ports for ferries to the Greek islands. Friendly staff, nice restaurant and bar, and charming, walkable neighborhood with a pedestrian plaza just a block away. Dozens of dining options, particularly seafood, within a 5 minute walk, and a popular beach bar as well. We really enjoyed our stay. Shoutout to Illya in the Avra restaurant for his great service, and suggestions of things to do in Rafina."

"I loved the location, it was within walking distance to the Supermarket, restaurants and the beach all of which we were looking for. The room was small but clean with a balcony and the staff were very nice. Free shuttle to the airport was also something I was looking for. Would definitely stay there again! "

"Very easy check in process and very kind to help us arrange a ride to the airport. Didn’t realize they have a restaurant in the hotel so we walked 5 minutes away for food. "

"The hotel was extremely clean and the staff beyond helpful. The only negative is the area. We did not feel comfortable walking around in that area. Considering how friendly everyone was in Greece the area might be safe. Additionally, the hotel offers a shuttle to and from local restaurants, which we took advantage of."

"This place is close to the beach and kind of out by it self. Staff was amazing. Room was clean. It's pretty bare bones room wise but we knew that going in. Nice porch to enjoy. Breakfast was good and hit the spot. Say hi to the tortoise for us! Oh and one of the restaurants will pick you up and drop you back off. It was good and the prices were "logical" as we were told by the locals. "
