Cute house
The house is very cute and spacious as well as tidy. That said, every single towel and sheet in the house smelled intensely of mildew which also made the rooms smell. We had to soend a couple hours re-washing everything and airing out the house.

Very run down and need of updating. Laminate floor was coming up, beds squeaky and very used. Our room was next the pool and laundry which woke us at 2:00 am with loud noise from the machines. Wry disappointing especially after reviewing photos, will not be recommending a stay there.

Too many issues
No WiFi during entire trip, poor communication from Vacasa management - issue was never resolved. Confusing parking situation. Dirty hot tub. Dirty interior and carpets. I’ve stayed at lots of places and this was near the bottom. It’s a cute house in a great neighborhood but the owners and or property management team have seriously neglected it and take no pride in this rental.

The carpets in the house were disgusting and very dirty. I had to go back and put my flip flops on before going into the master bedroom. Beds need to be replaced they are lumpy and uncomfortable. Bedding in master should be replaced it is in pretty bad shape. I was surprise the kitchen cooking items were not in better shape or missing. No can opener, cookie sheets were rusted and had food on them. I think someone needs to go thru those items. I expected at least 1 roll of paper towels in the unit.

Great location poor cleanliness
The location of the house was very nice. However the hot tub wasn’t clean. Therefore we had to set time aside to clean it and wait for it to heat. There was also still trash within some of the rooms.

Great location, needs a little TLC
Garage code didn’t work the whole time we were there, despite texts to property manager. The dishwasher had been recently replaced you could tell and worked well, as did the washer and drier. We enjoyed the hot tub, the local trails and bay beaches. Close to town and amenities. Good bedroom setup, we had two kids in each smaller bedroom. Master bed frame is SUPER squeaky- hubby and I woke up anytime either one of us rolled over. Bathroom had a little mildew funk smell, the top bunk was broken (I don’t blame the owner for this). Bedding and towels were clean, space was good. I think overall it would benefit from a real deep clean and some bug spray (found two black widow spiders outside- one dead, one very much alive). But overall we enjoyed it.

Disappointing
Where to begin... The pictures were lovely but deceiving. When we arrived, there was a big puddle of water on the kitchen floor from what appeared to be a leaky fridge/freezer. There was a block of ice in the freezer that looked like it had melted and frozen and melted again several times. Could be the result of power outages (?), one of which we experienced while we were there. Regardless, the issue had been noted in previous reviews but obviously not dealt with. We found food stains, crumbs and a used napkin on the couch, a curled up rug which was a tripping hazard (also noted in previous reviews but not addressed), stains on the bedspreads (so gross we had to remove) and on the master carpet, mold on the shower curtain, dirty kitchen drawers, scratchy bedsheets and towels, HORRIBLY uncomfortable couch, the list goes on. Had we not just braved a mega snowstorm on our drive down from Seattle, we may have returned home. A really deep cleaning and attention to a few details would have made a huge difference. We stay in numerous rentals every year and are most often very pleased. I have never written a bad review. :-(

Still awaiting a call back from management
First of all, let me make it clear that the house, neighborhood, and location was beautiful. There were so many issues with the property I spent several hours on the phone with Vacasa during what was supposed to be my vacation and still have not received a call they promised. Management was supposed to call me to negotiate a refund as promised by every single of the 5 Vacasa attendants I spoke to on the phone. Did they just say that to shut me up? Here's a list of some of the issues: Ice maker did not work, refrigerator was leaking lots of water and I had to change towels 2-3 times a day, dishwasher was broken (had to wash all dishes by hand after cooking every meal everyday), curtain rods not installed property and kept on falling off in 2 main bedrooms, water in shower of 2nd bedroom did not drain properly and when I showered I had to stand in a pool of water, etc. I called Vacasa everyday I was there. No one ever came to fix anything. No refund nor phone call as promised from Kenneth I believe who I supposed to be the manager. Such a shame that my time was not valued. Feel pretty upset with the experience and Vasaca needs to step up and make things right. I hope managementf calls after this review.

Disappointed in property and maint response
Updated property; however, the dishwasher was not mounted and didn’t work at all, and there were several clogged drains. We spent several minutes on the phone with the management company over several instances, and a nice maintenance tech came out but basically shrugged his shoulders. In spite of paying a cleaning fee, when we showed up the property didn’t reflect the differences of a professional cleaning. For all the trouble we expected some sort of refund, which was mentioned by several representatives without soliciting it, but received no follow through. Would find another property in the Manzanita area next time.

Very disappointing experience
Safety concerns with appliances, and a deep lack of empathy/urgency by property management. Upon checking in, we first noticed that the dishwasher was not properly installed. It awkwardly stuck out of its location 2-3 inches from the countertop. It did not look safe or usable, and it randomly gave beeping alerts. We contacted Vacasa to immediately of this. Was told I would be receiving a response from property management. That call never came. We went the entire stay without using the dishwasher, and it continued to make beeping alerts throughout the day and night. On the second night, while preparing dinner, smoke suddenly started filling the kitchen. We could not determine the source, as neither the oven or any equipment was being used at the time. With my family in hysterics, we evacuated the property and called 911. Once the fire dept arrived, they detected electrical smoke coming from the oven. But, they were not able to pinpoint the reason as to why or how the smoke started. No circuits were tripped. They advised not to use the oven, keeping it unplugged for the evening. I notified Vacasa of this emergency, finally speaking with the property manager for the 1st time. He offered to relocate us, but mentioned there was nothing available in the area, and could not say how long it would take to do so. Being as late as it was, with children and No immediate options available, we decided to stay the evening, following the fire dept’s advice to keep the equipment unplugged and not use. We had snacks for dinner. In the morning, the day of our check out, we wake up to water all over the kitchen floor. Turns out, the refrigerator went out. We could not wait to leave this place. In speaking with the property manager the night of the fire , he informed me that there would be some compensation by Vacasa to make this right, given the experience we just went through. I said, that would be appreciated, as I should not be paying for this second night given what has happened. But said we could deal with that part afterwards, as my first concern was where my family was sleeping that night. Days since checking out, I had no follow up or response from Vacasa. I had to contact them several times to ask how they were going to make this right by me and my family. After my third attempt to contact, I finally receive a text, saying the issues were out of their control. The lack of compassion for their customers was obvious. Renter beware, done w/Vacasa.

We had a good visit. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The backyard and hot tub area was not as private as we would have liked but the wrap around curtains helped. Hot tub was clean, heated, and ready to go!

A bright, airy, beach home for the whole family.
Five family members and a dog were looking for something wheelchair accessible with a hot tub and a view on the coast for a February weekend and this property offered all of the above. Although the view wasn't of the coast exactly, the front faces a part of Nehalem State Park where a herd of elk graze through intermittently, which was an amazing site. None of us had ever been this close to elk before this trip. The home is split in a near half longitudinally. The east side contains the front entry, living room, dining area, kitchen, and rear entries in an open-concept "great room" with hardwood throughout and tall windows set in all walls. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the west side, where. One room with a queen size bed and another with a twin lower bunk and single upper are both located off the entry. The master, with a king size bed is right off the kitchen. All bedrooms are carpeted and more of the tall windows are found in each room. All beds are comfortable and we rested well. The kitchen was stocked enough but, as with most rentals, if you require a sharp knife or more specialty tools, bring them. Funny enough, there were two zesters but no cheese grater. Loved the apron/ farmhouse sink, coffee grinder/ maker, and assortment of mixing bowls. It's a quiet neighborhood but the garage to park cars in is a nice amenity, as is the hot tub with privacy curtains. The fireplace emits very little heat and is more decorative than anything, but the home gets warm quick and stays there with the its wall heaters set to thermostats. Manzanita is a six minute drive, Nehalem State Park boat launch and parking is a ten minute drive, and Tillamook took us about thirty minutes. Altogether, it was a cozy weekend getaway for all and we'd gladly book again. Thank you! NOTE: Some of the review, it's points below, and title above are opinion-based and not statement. Great house. Clean and loved the hot tub!
Great cozy house. Clean and updated. The kitchen is not well stocked for cooking but we brought our own utensils, pans, measuring cups and spoons. The dishwasher is super loud so we had to run it before bedtime. The coffee maker was not user friendly. We couldn’t figure out how to use it. The blender didn’t have the motor. We are so glad we brought our own. Loved the wild life right outside the home. On a quiet street.

Spacious for family of 4
Roomy house, quiet location - kitchen was spacious as well. Hot tub was awesome, the house is indeed modern. Comfy beds... Enough space for our two kids and dog to run around in while it was raining out. Few things we would have liked to see kept up: Under the couch - I don't think it has ever been swept/vaccuumed/mopped, very dirty Dust pan is very cheap and dirt does not get swept on (I like dirt free floors, unfortuantely I did do a bit of housekeeping on vacation) Vaccuum did not suck up dirt, only if hose portion was used it worked Needed more laundry packets Overall a great house!
