Spring and summer are beautiful times to visit Nelson; lots of great hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, bouldering and soaking in Hot Springs. Or enjoy the tremendous of the view of Elephant Mountain and the Kootenay River and walking around in cute historic downtown Nelson.

For your convenience, the kitchen is stocked with a mini fridge, microwave, double hot plate, kitchen table with two chairs, French press with local organic coffee, and lots of food prep and serving ware.

The suite is close to a road, so there is significant noise during commuting times. I stock silicone ear plugs and a bluetooth device for white noise. That said, only one guest has complained about the noise.

It was a cosy quaint tiny room it do not have a view of mountains that I could see and was off a very noisy busy street. The owners have done a really nice job of trying to make the small room attractive. It was functional and we appreciated the ear plugs!

Too noisy
The house was clean and check in was easy. Unfortunately it was really noisy with road noise, you could also hear people talking outside and people walking around late into the night above. It was wonderful for host to recommend ear plugs and provide them, but if you can't use them it is a tough time.

Code didn’t work. Host was unresponsive to myself and the platform. We had no room after 9 hours in a car. Didn’t respond for over 24hrs. Ruined my best friends 40th birthday. Missed dinner. Hands down horrible experience. Very disappointed Would never book again

This property is in a great location and we were able to wàlk everywhere. However, we did not receive any communication about the property before we arrived and weren’t sure if we were even going to be able to get in. Thankfully the owner was home upstairs upon arrival and was able to let us in and give us the code to get in. The place was definitely not clean, with hair still in the bathroom from a man shaving. It also smelt incredibly musty, which gave me immediate allergies. It was also so noisy at night with traffic noise and again early in the morning. Earplugs and white noise did little to help. I could deal with most of this for our 2 night stay however the worst was yet to come. On our second night, my son started to get an incredibly itchy leg - bed bugs. Hence the misty smell I assume. I will definitely not be staying here again.

Nelson for a night.
Ok for 1 night. Room was cold upon arrival. Not as clean as other VRBO stays. Used/ dirty sponge left. Towels had some dye stains and smelled a bit musty. No exterior lights when we returned in the early evening and a lot of stairs up to the suite. Fridge wasn’t plugged in but we didn’t realize until morning when our leftovers were spoiled. The room was as advertised. Parking was good. Shower had great water pressure and hot. Host was great to communicate with. We would choose to stay somewhere else next time.
