"Admirals Motor Inn is not a new building but it appears to have been recently refurbished. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and showed us to our room. There are no lifts, just stairs as befitting the older style. We had an upstairs 2 bedroom appartment which faced into the parking area. It was clean, comfortable, roomy and perfect for us, with a room upstairs our grandchildren. They were pretty stoked to have the upstairs bedroom. The bathroom was a good size and had a separate toilet. The only thing is the shower is fixed to the wall, not a slide shower and it is a bit low for taller people. The kitchen would be great if we were staying longer as it had a good sized kitchenette. Not just a jug on the bench. We would be very happy to rebook for our next visit to Nelson."

"Fantastic hotel. Our room overlooked the marina. We enjoyed a great meal at the restaurant right by the hotel. The free breakfast was a nice surprise. The shower was great as was the room. Easy walk to downtown along the river. The Queen's Garden was beautiful. Thanks for having such a nice place to rest our weary bodies. "

"This was my 2nd time staying at this motel, at I was just as pleased as the previous time. Outstanding value for money, super clean, quiet, and nicely decorated with great facilities inside. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows, and air-conditioning (heat-pump). Also has full SKY TV, so no missing out on your favorite shows if you have to stay in, even FoxNews! I plan on coming back again and again."

"The only thing I dislike is the vanity which is too tiny. Everything else is good. The best I like is the generous supply of tea, coffee and milk. The tea is very delicious. Thanks the hosts."

"this property was great with almost a full kitchen. however our check in was less ideal we arrived early and room was not available (fair enough) but after a long drive needed to use a washroom. there was one in sight in thw reception area but we were told this was for staff. no exceptions. this was a directive from the manager. we found somenpublic bathrooms on our own but were not directed there by the person at the reception. not very customer/client centered"
