Lady next door selling local cognac was very friendly. At night the sky was so dark, excellent for stargazing. The river charente is lovely for swimming in. Super!"

"We had a wonderful week in the gite. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We were looking for a relaxing week away to unwind and could not have picked a better place. The weather was warm enough for us to use the pool a few times which was clean and welcoming. We used the garden/patio area everyday which was also clean, tidy and comfortable. "We had a lovely stay at the château in August 2022. The house is classically French and spacious. The star of the show is the outside space. There's outdoor speakers, a lovely long sloping garden with trees for shade, a huge pool and lounger area and you're surrounded by sunflower fields. The owners were easy to get hold of when we had questions. All in all a brilliant holiday, we'd definitely go back."

"The hotel is located by the main shopping estate in the area, not exactly in Cognac but easy enough to drive into Cognac on one straight road. Wifi is not very well connected. I used it in the common dining area. Breakfast is fine. Parking is ample. Communal kettle by the entrance did not go down well for me. I have to fetch water from my room to fill the kettle and boil it in the public area. Not great value for money but is acceptable and adequate for a stopover."
