Wonderful cottage for families or couples
The cottage itself was spotless, the beds were super comfy and EVERYTHING was supplied from cleaning products to cosy throws. The kitchen was really well stocked with crockery and utensils and was a good size for family meals in the evening. Personally I liked that fact that no smoking or pets were allowed due to allergies. The hosts were very easy to contact and replied to texts quickly. The location of the cottage is perfect as is only a 10 minute walk to the village centre and has plenty of woodland walks on the doorstep. The village of Nethy Bridge is lovely in itself. I would definately recommend for families or couples and we would book again.

We had such a lovely stay in February. The house looks like it has just been renovated. It was beautifully clean, fresh and very comfortable. The owners were very responsive and really helpful. A brilliant base for exploring nethy and the Cairngorms. Thank you so much for a lovely week!

Highly recommended property
A real home from home. Peaceful, very comfortable and well located. The property had everything we needed and great quality. Ideally situated, with a well-stocked village Spar. The only down side was not being able to control the heating ourselves, but the owners responded quickly at requests to alter it. I do think though it is best not to have to do this. All in all though an excellent property.

Great information and communication, going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. Lovely cottage, well presented and everything you need. The cottage is in a quiet part of Nethybridge, well placed for local walks, but easy to drive to other parts of the area. The sun lounge gives additional space for reading or children playing.

Great cottage
The cottage was comfortable and well equipped and we enjoyed our stay here very much. Our only (minor) issue was struggling to get a consistent temperature in the shower in the ensuite- but the shower over the bath was fine. Nethy Bridge is a good base and we wouls stay here again if in the area.

Gem if Nethybridge
We have had the most glorious week at Hawthorn. The cottage is immaculate, warm (more important than we expected as the temperature plummeted - the Cairngorms missed the ‘it’s May’ memo). Beds wonderfully comfortable, spent hours sitting in the conservatory watching an incredible array of garden birds from the feeders provided which we filled. A perfect base for walking, bird watching and long pauses in cafes, both locally and for accessing the Cairngorms and the coast. We’re planning our next trip! Huge thanks to Karen and Alan who were wonderful hosts.

Great base for a family holiday
We really enjoyed staying at Hawthorn. The cottage is lovely and homely, spotless, and the beds are very comfortable. It's in a great location with fantastic walks very close by. It makes a really good base for exploring the beautiful scenery and countryside of the surrounding area.

Great stay
Great communication and really friendly host. This is our second visit to the cottage and we will be returning again again as the location is just perfect. Our only issue would be conservatory which is not very clean, covered in flies and insects and really unusable. I didn't say anything the last time we rented in the hope that it would be re-done by the time we came back, but it was an issue for us this year. Apart from this we do love the rest of the house but this unfortunately lets it down.

Lovely property definitely a home from home. Very comfortable.
Yet again we had a lovely holiday. We visited Fort George and also Highland Wildlife Park this I fully recommend. We also went to Aviemore, Lossiemouth, Elgin and Nairn. We visited relatives at Tomintoul and they took us to Loch Morlich. We were lucky with the weather apart from one morning when we visited Loch Garten. Can't tell you how beautiful Scotland is, you need to see it for yourself. A true Paradise.

We found the cottage very clean and well equipped, but could do with a tumble dryer..
We enjoyed our stay in Nethybridge and the cottage was nice and very comfortable felt a little like being at home, we always have a lovely time and always find new places to visit and great places to eat, we come to Scotland twice a year summer, christmass and new year. So well done to Karen and Alan for making our holiday special.
