We had a suite with a King bed. The room spacious. The carpet with stains and torn in several areas. We had a visitor during the night of a lizard. This totally freaked this northern. It was harmless, but staff couldn’t find, so that wasn’t good. Very loud in lobby with TS concert. The best features was Zac in the cafe and the valet workers! It’s nice, but not luxury, and paid luxury prices when it’s was not more than a 3 star hotel.

Wonderful place to stay. Our only complaint was that there seemed to be some kind of plumbing issue with loudly knocking pipes in the wall every morning. Something needs to be done about that! Everything else was delightful.

The hotel was clean, quiet, updated and safe. The staff were exceptional. Everyone looked happy and proud to be at work. The amenities were great. Free morning coffee and free evening wine. The location was convenient. The only thing about NOLA that no one tells you is there are terrible at construction. Twice in our 4 day stay we had to walk into the street to get around construction workers and diggers that were actively breaking up the road and/or laying asphalt directly in the pedestrian walkway outside the hotel in the evening.

We were able to check in early with no hassle, we also received an upgraded room with no extra charge. They were also able to accommodate a bottle of champagne with a card in our room for my friends birthday. Lovely property and walkable to bourbon.

The room was beautiful; very large with a nice dressing area. The bed was very comfortable but the sheets could have been softer. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want or need, they will provide for you. The bar area is absolutely gorgeous & the Gospel Cafe had delicious coffee & liquor options. Everyone was incredibly sweet & kind. I will return to the Fontenot as it’s close to literally everything.
