This motel is in a seedy area and the room we booked was quite dirty. We has to fill the wash basin with soapy water in order to wipe down all the grimy surface areas we would come into contact with.
The bed pillows were worn and dirty-looking so we placed the pillows into two separate plastic trash bags BEFORE we even dared to place our heads on them.
The single blanket on the bed was in need of a good wash; I went to the front desk and insisted upon a cleaner one directly from the housekeeping laundry room.
The person at the front desk tried to charge us extra for the room despite having the confirmation which showed the actual price we were supposed to pay. However, a quick call to Expedia managed to set the matter straight.
Stay somewhere else if you value cleanliness and safety.

Manager Does Not Respond to Problems
The maid service accidentally threw out my dental night guard (approx $300). The manager, Mr. Patel, was not on property and has since not responded to numerous email and telephone requests to discuss the matter. It's one thing to be refused, another to be ignored--utterly despicable. Expedia has called on my behalf--still no response. Expedia has not followed up on my request to contact the owners on my behalf.
There 3 nights, fine for what we were looking for, a cheaper stay but in a good hotel. Neighborhood was kind of sketchy but good people. Room was clean, came and cleaned room daily with fresh towels.
The hotel was "ok" for the price paid. It was in a decent area of town, close to freeway and any locations you needed to get to. Rooms can do with a little more detail to cleaning. If you are there more than one night, be sure to bring your own towels, they do not replace the ones you use.
The facility was neat and appeared to be maintained, the room was smelly. No face towels on the first night, attributed to the fact of an early check in. The staff did accommodate that. No frills but adequate.

Decent budget hotel with good connectivity
Its an Econolodge and that is what you will get. Economy Lodging. Very basic clean sheets. Towels had lipstick stains but got new towels the next day and extra towels when I was asked for some. Guy at the reception was very nice and courteous.
It is a 20 min bus ride to Bourbon street and $15 ride by taxi so nearby. You have mcdonalds and taco bell nearby.
It was ok . The door to the room had at least an inch crack under it . The floor tile in the bathroom where loose and moved when you walked or stood on them .

Pretty Decent
Not bad. Clean linens, floors and bathroom. A few stains on walls but no biggie. Very spacious rooms. Fairly friendly staff. Neighborhood not great but not too horrible either. A cab ride to the French Quarters will runs about $15 - $18 plus tip and takes around 10 minutes without traffic. Would probably stay a little closer to town next time just due to the expense of cab fare.
I was surprised to find that this hotel was very clean. You cant judge a book by its cover as they say. The hotel is located in a sketchy looking area. There's a chain of stores with security bars in the windows (you usually see this in sketchy areas where break ins are common). There is also a sketchy looking apartment right next to the parking lot....
When we arrived guests ( or maybe permanent residents of the hotel???) were hanging out on the stairs smoking. They didn't stay their long, just a quick smoke break I guess...My family and I stayed there for one night, we left before breakfast was available. Overall, clean hotel room. Only complaint is that we booked a nonsmoking room however, our room smelled of smoke...slightly, nothing I couldn't deal with. I was able to sleep throughout the night...no loud noise, car wasn't broken into or anything.... Its definitely overpriced though...but we stayed during July 4th weekend and everything is pretty much overpriced. A pool would have been nice.
The franchise here was managed by some very young Indian guys. The clerks were OK but the rooms partly cleaned . tubs were not cleaned out bed spreads had holes in them and they asked you to reuse your towels i don.t reused my towels st home
If you didn.t notice the little red card thenthey wouldn.t change your sheets
The WiFi was terrible and i used uo 2 gigs of data on my plan cost me 30.00 more
I complained to them before and they did nothing i have stayed at motelabout 3 times in the last month and soent slmost $1,000.00 motel fees there
Won.t ever rent with them again
