We just needed a one night stay in a motel & we have stayed at Braemar Motor Inn a few years ago and were happy with it so booked in for the one night. The owner was very friendly. Our room was very clean and tidy, a comfy bed with clean sheets. No noise to keep us awake. We were very happy with our stay there and would recommend it. The building is old but everything works fine.

Im sorry to write this, as it was my mistake booking this place last minute. Pros - Cheap and close to the city. Cons - Its rough. A lot of WINZ housing tenants staying there. Noisy plumbing means you hear everything. Wasnt given WIFI password. Flies in the room, and i slept on top of sheets cos i felt i would get bitten.

Would recommend that Expedia makes clear that this is a motel for the homeless. This made us slightly nervous with patched people around. However having said this our room was clean & the facilities were good and we had a good stay without any issues like some other reviewers had. The office lady was pleasant and helpful..

Full on emergency housing clients
I was too scared to stay after arriving there - I had booked in and paid without reading the reviews. The place was full of Emergency Housing and I did not feel safe there. The person who ran the place was lovely and I understand why she allows them there but I ended up sleeping on a friend's floor rather than stay.

Disgusting out of date & shabby, only one heat point in the kitchen for microwave, toaster & jug some lights not working, had to empty own rubbish cotainer, no heating, no extacter fan in bathroon, shower doesn't drain leaving 20mls water on tray. Too expensive for condition, couldnt recomend it to anyone. Shouldn't be allowed to operate a motel in that condition. I'm very surprised than you maket a motel in that condition. Barry Hill.

We stayed 10 minutes in the room and went to another hotel. It was disgusting. It smelt, the front door only had a chain. The lady at reception said they locked once the door was closed. You had no way of checking once inside. It appeared to be a winz hotel which we werent told about.

Shower pressure was great, and bedding was clean. There was a fridge in the room, which is always nice. The room had grimy marks all over, as well as some shoddy repairs. Honestly a bit expensive for the condition of the room.
