Great view of Tyne
Apartments are lovely and modern and tastefully decorated. I liked that there were miniature shower gels and soaps in the bathrooms and teabags and coffee in the kitchen. The only downside is that the beds are extremely uncomfortable.

Great location
Best place I have found to stay in Newcastle so far - better directions would have helped though!

Great place to stay in Newcastle
The City Apartments are really 5-star. A bit tricky to find, but reception staff are helpful, it's easy to walk to places near the quay, or get public transport, and there are lovely views from the building

Was a funny site to find due to construction traffic but overall was a good environment with a short walk into town.

Loved this place!!!
This was a great hotel with a beautiful view overlooking the River Tyne. We could see the Millennium Bridge from our balcony. We were within walking distance to many restaraunts and shops. The staff were all very friendly and there was convenient parking. Very comfortable beds/furniture. I would definitely stay here again!

Good value for money.
Overall this property offers good value for money however, I get the feeling that it is much more geared towards the stag and hen nights which stay here during the weekends rather than the business traveller. The apartments are comfortable, smart and have everything you need. Unfortunately cleanliness leaves something to be desired as my sheets had marks on them and the kitchen most certainly needed a decent clean. These things aside, when you take in to account the fact that you are being given double the space of a hotel room, have the luxury of a appartment, secure parking, quiet location and friendly staff I really wouldn't consider staying anywhere else as this is top value for money.

Better than I expected!
Pleasantly surprised with the apartment, modern, stylish, well equipped with everything we needed (including peace and quiet!) Our stay was during the week so don't know if weekends are any different. Free secure parking was also a bonus.

Very nearly
A suite of rooms... really nicely designed rooms (real art on the walls rather than generic prints, wonderfully modern bathroom design, etc.)... secure car park... and all for the same price as a manky Travel Lodge room! This should be five stars, awesome value, glowing recomendation... but it isn't. Unfortunately, once you contend with the broken lift, the broken swipe-card reader (so desk staff had to be fetched to help each guest get to the rooms, leading to grumpy staff), the broken toilet roll holder (leading to the toilet roll repeatedly falling off and rolling away across the floor), the desk chair designed more for looks than to be sat on for work... it's hard to be quite so enthusiastic.. The concept may be great, but the details need more work! So - good hotel? Absolutely. I will certainly use it again next time I'm back in Newcastle. But it's such a shame that it isn't as good as it could be and should be.

Amazing PLace to Stay
I have never stayed at a nicer place than this hotel. Ever. It is spotlessly clean, everything works (TV, washer/dryer, towel heater, showers, microwave, fridge, stove, freezer) It was like home away from home... actually more like a much better home away from home. I went up to my room, walked back to reception and booked another night And here is the best part - its prices are quite reasonable!

Good location, well equipped, clean apartments
Reception staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Standard of apartment well exceeded expectations, well equiped, clean, very comfortable and spacious. Easy walking distance to the quayside bars and restaurants.

very handy
These apartments are good for a short stay. They have most of the kitchen equipment that you would need apart from a tea pot and a coffee maker. You should note that all the one bedroom flats have no Tyne view and have a lot of road noise.
