Awesome Stay
My boyfriend and I (and our dog) really enjoyed this place. It’s on a quiet road, tucked up into a woodsy hill which gives the feeling of being secluded, while in actuality not being far from a main road. The listing is pretty accurate; the house is absolutely covered in windows, which allows for plenty of fresh air and natural light. The master bed is super comfortable, and the master bathroom is really nice too. I was a little apprehensive about the lack of air conditioning, but there is a unit in the master, and it was comfortable even without it most nights with the cool air coming in from the windows we had open. The living room ceiling fans are a great help too when it’s warm out. We made great use of the grill and deck. Other reviewers are right about the water pressure, but it’s certainly not a deal breaker. The only minor complaints I have are I wish there was guest access to a vacuum- a longer stay with a shedding dog equals tons of hair and it would’ve been nice to be able to tidy up. Also, there were no instructions as to where to put our trash bags, so we had to keep any full bags out on the screened porch. No big deal, just worth noting if you’re staying for more than a few days. Overall, we would recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful place to hang out.

I feel conflicted leaving some negative feedback but i felt i needed to. The most egregious issue was the pornography comics in the living room. Glad we intercepted thst before our 4 kids did. Also there were only 2 bath towels despite the advervisemnent for 6 people. There were dead bug carcasses everywhere and dead and crumbling flowers on the main table suggesting not a very good cleaning job. Lastly, understand a 4x4 and chains are needed for the car but the ice rink in front of the front door is likely a lawsuit waiting to happen. Otherwise its a beautiful and very unique cabin, its just not maintained well enough

Great, cozy holiday!
We loved staying in the Newfane home! I was a bit worried at 1st from reading the reviews but it was great. The house was nice and cozy. The sauna and steam tub were AMAZING. We really enjoyed the quiet and we were so close to such great restaurants. We would love to come back!

Great stay
Great place for a trip to Stratton/Mt. Snow with a few friends! Definitely a cool space with a lot of character. Smaller second and third bedrooms (full beds) and lower water pressure but to be expected with a remote cottage for a ski weekend.

Why did you transfer me to Vacasa? They are the worse property management group I've encountered.
My biggest problem with this listing was that, at the time of booking, it claimed to have AC and it does not! While heat isn't often an issue in Vermont, it was the week of our stay and it made the property unlivable. The description has since been updated to specify there is no AC. In summary, my wife and I were unable to be in the home during the heat of the day and barely able to sleep in the evenings. Vacasa provided no help and no support when contacted.

Fire hazard, no window coverings, a peeping tom and poor communication
Where to start! Check in was easy and the upgraded “features” appeared good at first site. Until we tried to shower and the water pressure was so bad that the shower kept cutting off. Had to use a knife to keep the drain opened on the tub. The sauna wasn’t completed yet they feature it on the listing. There are no window coverings on the huge windows in the bathroom nor on the living room windows facing the shared porch with the neighbor. While walking the grounds, we discovered a telescope on a tripod facing the bathroom with no window coverings. A clear view to anyone using the toilet or showering! The biggest concern was the circuit breaker that continued to trip/blow every time we used the microwave. We had to contact management to get a code to get into the locked room that stated “staff office” to reset the breaker every time! The microwave and gas stove are on the same breaker, and even when not using the stove, didn’t have enough amps to support the microwave. There are security cameras all over the place, and when you walk by sensors it alerts you that you are being recorded. We tried to find a local hotel instead but due to graduation weekend there were no vacancies nearby. I would not recommend this property OR Vacasa Management to anyone! The local manager I talked to about my concerns admitted that she had never been to the property, plans to visit soon and that Vacasa is going through some changes. How do you manage a property that you’ve never seen?

Infested with wasps and incredibly junky
The entire upstairs was infested with beetles and wasps. The bedrooms were no sleepavke for two small children due to the horrible infestation. We all had to sleep in the master bed which was broken. The tenant loves 10 feet away and there is no privacy to block views from tenant. Open windows into bathroom and bedrooms with no curtains. Front door was broken, bath leaked, and it was never advertised the shared deck and property. We want a refund, it was a nightmare!
