"My wife, dog and I stayed in the Parlour cottage at the end of August 2024. Please take note that they prefer cash or bankers transfer, Hotels.com does not take the money. It is so relaxing and quite, this is down to the hands off way of the owners, Martin & Kate. We arrived and found a wonderful welcome pack waiting of Bread, milk, eggs and biscuits. "We have just had a great 10 night stay in the cottage and loved it's location. So much wildlife around and such a quirky cottage. So close and an easy drive to Newport beach and all the locals were incredibly friendly. We will definitely be back to stay again."

"The photos do not show this place as it is. The main issue is that the bed is in a loft space - up a very steep ladder - its claustrophobic and difficult to access if your knees and ankles are not 10 years old. Couple that with it having an unexpected wood fired hot tub - and being left only 3 small composite logs to light it for 3 nights - not enough to get it hot day 1 - and who wants to spend the evening up to your arms in soot trying to light it anyway - say its log fired in the ad / say...

"The house is very beautiful. Enjoyed several challenging walks close by. Needed to bring supplies such as salt, pepper and basic spices. Also needed shampoo. Called on first day about five light bulbs out in kitchen and other rooms that were not replaced during our stay. Also needed a small non stick pan to cook eggs. Be aware that range top needed to be turned off and on to start working. "
