"We needed a room that night and the very helpful, friendly, receptionist was excellent. The hotel is a beautiful, heritage, building set in extensive grounds that has been tastefully modernised. The only rooms available were standard twins which are small but very well appointed for a short stay."

"Bit of a walk from the train station to the hotel (recommend taxi or uber), but once I got there, it was so nice to be able to relax in a comfy and spacious bed. Recommend going to the gym & swim facilities too; liked the steam room and lane swimming. Changing rooms excellent size. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. Bed so comfy I accidentally slept 10 hours and almost missed breakfast, but when I did go down to eat, there was still plenty of choice and room to sit. Would have liked there to be a hot chocolate option instead of just tea and coffee but that’s just personal preference. In the evening, I liked the chicken health bowl and the comfy seating. Overall, I would recommend the village hotel and would go back again. Many thanks. "

"Been meaning to stay at this hotel in a while , finally we gave it a go. Considering it’s half the price of all the other hotels on this weekend , I would certainly be back. Very quick check in , clean rooms and a good sized bed. Great work !"
