"I could tell right away it used to be a Country Inn. Very colorful on the outside. Driving up to it is a little weird but not terribly difficult. I had to come down to get my key cards rekeyed after checking in. I don't remember seeing them get keyed when I checked in, front desk to make sure not to them next to anything wireless like cell phone and vehicle key fobs. I've never seen these items erase cards before so I think that was bull crap."

"Let me emphasize that this review is for the Mountain Inn in Iron Mountain, Michigan. There are some bad reviews that are obviously not for this hotel. The building does NOT have homeless people sleeping in the parking lot. The room was clean, the recliner chair was comfortable enough to sleep in. The TV was the largest I ever encountered in a hotel. My only complaint was that the first floor windows don’t open but the A/C worked fine. "

"A quaint property on the river at the border of Northern Michigan and Northern Wisconsin. Cabin was furnished with amenities, including full kitchenware. The backside of the cabin has a picnic table and seating with full view of the river. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Great hosts! "

"This property has made many improvements. My room was completely remodeled and very clean. The hallways have old carpet and not so clean and parking lot needs some cleaning. The breakfast is nice, and squeaky clean. The exercise room is in an out of the way place in the basement that isn't a good location at all. It's hard to reach someone by phone sometimes. Location is great, restaurant next door and others close by. Staff is very nice, especially Preti."

"The con to staying at this property was the amount of dogs in the hotel. It was actually a little scary walking down the hallways and having what seemed like large dogs barking loudly and jumping at the doors as you walked by. And the barking ALL NIGHT LONG was exhausting! I'm pretty sure these dogs were left in the rooms all day alone while the owners were put biking the trails. "
