Splendid Hotel was splendid indeed! Within walking distance to good restaurants, and the Promenade des anglais. The rooftop pool was the highlight! We spent our second day there, lounging and enjoying the friendly service. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Property located on a quiet tree-lined street that is close to all the attractions including train station, beach, restaurants and cafes. The staff is superb and professional including front desk, rooftop pool and housekeeping. Hotel has a gym, spa and onsite-secured parking. Only issue in a great property is the carpeted guest rooms that have a musky scent.

The staff are phenomenal and friendly. They were super helpful and this made our stay even better. The area is accessible to a lot of great restaurants and the beach. The only downside was that we found a few items/trash left over by previous guest in one of the drawers and didn’t seem super clean. Other than that, it was great!

The hotel is nice overall, but it’s clear the property is past its prime. Some areas have been updated, while others are in serious need of renovation. We stayed on the first floor and appreciated the spacious balcony, though the large fence completely blocked the view and any breeze. The decor feels dated and worn, but the hotel is clean, the restaurants were good, and the location is excellent. All in all, it’s a decent place—but definitely due for a refresh.

Great place to stay in Nice

my ONLY complaint is that despite the housekeeping card indicating that towels are only replaced if left in the bathtub, we got clean ones daily. As we are trying to lighten our footprints, we wish the staff had remembered there was no need for constant replacement. The location was excellent, the staff could not have been more accommodating, and the breakfast plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend this property

Staff was extraordinarily friendly and welcoming. Deluxe room was spacious, quiet, and clean with great amenities. Lovely rooftop restaurant and cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was solid but a bit uninspired with the same every day, even on the weekends/holidays. Breakfast room very crowded and little space for the staff to maneuver stuff around. We asked for a second blanket a couple of times (King bed came with a shared blanket) but did not get one and eventually gave up. Really just a minor thing but it would have been nice.
