I stayed here for the month of October.
For the most part this apartment is fantastic. It looks just like the pictures. It is quiet and there is an elevator. The main room is large, as is the bathroom ; there is loads of storage space ; and the view from the terrace and from inside the apartment is incredible – not only during the day, but at night when you can watch the lighthouse blinking at the end of Cap Ferrat. (And if you’re lucky, someone, reputedly a rich Russian, will shoot off fireworks from Cap Ferrat one Saturday night and you will be even further in awe.) There is a rooftop pool with a view that is even just a bit better.
Villefranche-sur-Mer is steep wherever you are (unless you stay in the old town, near the water and the restaurants), and to get anywhere you have to walk up and down lots of steps, or steep streets without much in the way of sidewalks, but that is Villefranche – and for me, the location of this apartment was ideal.
I do have to add that some details are lacking – e.g., there is no TV; some lights and outlets don’t work; there’s a thick layer of ice inside the fridge, which should be replaced; etc.
Still, even writing this, I wish I were back in Villefranche-sur-Mer and in this apartment.
