Such a gentleman that works at the front desk (wished I got his name) but he helped me with my bags to and from the car as I am pregnant and they was heavy bags. "Booked this hotel a the very last minute as the one we were due to stay in had a gas leak. Room was comfy with plenty of storage space. The bed was big. I’m quite fussy when it comes to pillows so it wasn’t the best for me but others may like it. Breakfast was very nice and a wide selection to choose from. The bar area was nice and modern and all the staff were very friendly. I would happily stay there again. "

"One of the many good things about The View in Eastbourne is that it has a number of single rooms, and they represent particularly good value for money. Also, great sea views, friendly and helpful staff, nice food, good value, and very clean. My only negative experience is only a minor one. It's just a bit fiddly if you want breakfast in your room - you have to go to reception to get a little form to indicate your order, and then give it back to reception for them to take it from there. No such forms in the rooms, and no option to hook the form on your door for the night porter to collect the form and give it to the kitchen. Perhaps if you scan the code on the leaflet in the room it gets simpler, but I got a message on my phone saying it was out of date. Overall a great stay though, and the restaurant is very spacious if you want a quiet table for breakfast. "
