"Two factors made our stay at this house so memorable: 1) The house sits on the beautiful island of Stegesund (no cars, only a small dirt road) that overlooks gorgeous water just outside of the town of Vaxholm. "Th cabin itself is adorable. Nice location, but not too close to the water. Some amenities do not function as well as may be assumed. For example, the door to the sauna does not fully close from the inside. Overall the sauna is very below average. Also, the shower often does not have hot water. This is something to look out for. On the other hand, the fireplace is amazing. The kitchen has everything you could ask for. The terrace is also beautiful - we had a lovely time drinking coffee out there...

"Great and relaxing stay. Wish I had extra time in the morning to enjoy there deck and my coffee. But had to leave early for airport drop off. Also, the young gal working that morning was great! I was early, but said I could grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the deck. Explained I had to drop off rental car in a few hours and allowed me to eat my breakfast a little earlier and prior to official opening. Great customer service. "

"The hotel was very, very clean and up. Kept for being over 300 years old. I love the building and the surrounding area. Every place in town was easily walkable. Plenty of activities to do water in front for water taxi's. Transportation to surrounding areas very easily accessible and very cheap using water. And buses for transportation."

"A very stylish 'farm' in the Stockholm archipelago. The staff were amazingly friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The accommodation / dining areas were absolutely gorgeous - a real treat to have such chic surroundings in a rural farm! We did the glamping which was fantastic - and gorgeous bathroom block to share with only 2 other tents. We loved the variety of animals around the farm and the various activities kept us busy for 3 days- although I wouldn't necessarily advise staying much longer than that. The only change I'd make is that if guests are paying to stay a few days, and having all your meals at the place, renting bikes or doing the activities (e.g. mini-golf) could perhaps be included in the price? They did not cost much but it just felt like they should be included in the price rather than 'extras' for goodwill. Highly recommend!"
