Stayed in deluxe studio apartment it was nice to sit on chairs instead of bed to watch tv. Nice kitchen area if you want to cook something simple. "A gem of a cottage which had been restored to a really high standard. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, log burner with plenty of wood and loved all the decor/pictures throughout. A welcome basket with local goodies was also a nice touch. "Lovely old-fashioned unique hotel. Lots of choice for food, and the spa is fab - £12 access per room is great, and the facilities were clean and updated. The gym/health club was a huge plus and made the stay even better. I would say the Bistro could do with some redecorating - the food was good and very reasonable, but the ambience/decor was a little plain for a dinner location! Aside from that, the rooms were clean, spacious and comfy, and the staff were all really friendly. Such a nice location for a weekend country getaway "

"This is my second stay at the hotel. The ensuite room was a great price and included a lovely buffet offering a choice of cooked or cold breakfasts. The hotel has an 80s vibe in terms of decoration which is tired. However my room was very clean and comfortable and peaceful. That to me is paramount, together with helpful and kind staff. "

"Check-in very straightforward, lovely helpful staff. Room was freezing when I got in, but had warmed up in a couple of hours. Probably not a bad thing, as not heating an unoccupied room.
