Our Time is the best of both worlds if you want to enjoy the beach, fishing, and nature. There are two large decks overlooking the canal with porch swings underneath, and a spacious kitchen for cooking your fresh catch, or seafood from one of the many local markets! Everything you'd want in a coastal vacation is right here.

Located right over a saltwater canal, this house is only a short 1.5 block walk to the beach and Cherry Grove Pier, and just a block from Cherry Grove Park and boat ramp on the marsh side. The Main St. area is only a mile away which has tons of local favorites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For shopping, check out the Coastal North Shopping Center just up Hwy 17.

Location
This house has an incredible location, it was the only positive aspect of this house. We loved being on the marsh and also just a few blocks from the beach access. This home is 1 block from the Coastal Preserve allowing our young children to ride their bikes to the wooden walk way which offers a wonderful sunset view. Upon arrival there was a large storm that showed the dining room ceiling was leaking. Thankfully we were able to remain in the home for our stay. The home and furnishing are very dated. The couches had many large stains as well as the bed spreads. The beds were not sturdy or secure. The floor was covered in hair, dirt, and dust appearing to not have been cleaned or even swept in quite a while. The ice maker was excellent and kept up with all our needs including stocking the beach cooler. However, there were multiple dirty dishes in the cabinets and loose food (cereal) in the kitchen drawers. In addition the cabinets in the kitchen were a disaster, completely disorganized. The first time I opened them, glass cups and bowls were falling out. The utensil supply was very sparse, including only a few forks. The stove burners were unlevel, making cooking anything a difficult task. One of the bathroom tubs did not drain well. The downstairs outdoor lights did not work. Basically the only reason to rent this home is for the location.

Outside of the house is very nice! In a good quiet neighborhood, two blocks from the beach. Location was awesome! The house had roaches and other bugs. We found bug spray outside, so I’m sure someone knew about the problem beforehand. Even though the floor “appeared” to be clean, after walking around barefoot for a while, my son’s feet were as dirty as if he had been outside. The recliner was broken on one side. I could not locate an iron, as listed. The hot water heater was set on room temperature. All three mattresses felt like we were sleeping on the floor. My husband has a backache. My son slept on the couch the two out of three night. The furniture needs upgrading, it looks straight out of 1980, which is fine, but I can’t help to wonder when the last time those couches were cleaned. Vacasaa do better!

Cute house but misleading
The house itself was pretty cute and beachy. No frills, just a cute beach house to hang out. Having the full kitchen was great. Overall spacious. Myself, girlfriend, and my brother rented this place Friday night through Monday morning. The instructions and guidelines were very strict but we're not followed by ownership. Trash must go out on ___ day in the morning and also ____ day. When we arrived, the trash bin was all but overflowing. Clearly trash had not been taken out, even though it was trash day. Ok, whatever, the last renters just forgot. We were unpacking, and checked out the bathrooms. Both had used soaps and other items stuck to the shower caddy. Kinda gross and unsettling since it was supposed to be cleaned between stays.. made us a little uneasy on what else was overlooked. In the room with the sliding doors, the vertical blinds were missing panels.. not great if we wanted to go to bed earlier than others watching TV. Both recliner chairs were broken.. one missing the lever, the other had the leg rest all jacked up and wouldn't come out more than a couple inches. Laundry room was supposed to be included. Door was locked to it. Customer service was responsive but local support never showed up. We specifically rented one with washer and a dryer, but days went by without anyone assisting. The used soaps, broken items, warped beds, empty promise of laundry capabilities.. all added up to an annoying time when it should have been relaxing and care free.

Very Disappointing
Well it started off by being given the wrong code for the lockbox. The house smelt musty when we walked in, the mattresses were VERY uncomfortable, the sheets felt like they hand sand on them but it was the sheets themselves, one of the bedspreads had a tear in it and the stuffing was coming out, one of the recliners was broken, we couldn’t get the TV in the living room on, there was mold all in the cabinet underneath the sink in one of the bathrooms, toilet seat was lose in same bathroom, that toilet would also run continuously if you didn’t giggle it, the AC could not keep up with the heat so that was uncomfortable and we had to kill a roach running up the wall one night as we went to bed. Then there was only one roll of paper towels and one roll of toilet tissue left in each bathroom, so we had to buy extra. I really tried to give the place the benefit of the doubt but there were too many issues that really hampered us being able to relax and enjoy. I have stayed in many cottages over the years and I have to say this was not the best experience at all. A positive that I can give is that the outside of the cottage was very nice and I enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the canal.

2022 Beach Trip
We had a lot of fun! Definitely more than 1.5 blocks from the beach we ended up driving each day down the street was public lot you could pay 10$ For all day parking but no exit once you arrive! House is very spacious could fit alot of people in this place very nice the internet shuts off every night at midnight an comes back on about thirty minutes later. Fishing is not good behind the house when it’s low tide it’s a giant mud hole no water to fish. Cherry Grove pier is very nice!

Upon arrival at 4:20p we walked in on the cleaners who “didn’t know” the property was booked back to back. They didn’t finish until after 5pm which left a sour taste. The cleaners told us to “be careful because they seen a roach or two walking around. I let it be known that where ever there’s water, you’ll find bugs. Beds were hard, awoke with pains everyday. Other then that we enjoyed the property. Neighbors were EXCELLENT and super friendly. Would recommend.

I stayed at this location for a 4 night stay with some friends. We did not stay at the house much as we were sightseeing, so it worked ok. The furniture is dated and the patio table was wobbly. There was also a broken chair left on the patio. The mattresses were not comfortable and were squeaky. There was also a leak in one of the bathrooms that leaked onto the carport, which we did turn in a ticket for. The outdoor grill looked unusable. The location was great, it was a quiet neighborhood and I felt safe. This place has the potential to be a five star with these few updates.

Great Vacation Spot
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. We were worried at first that everything was too good to be true but it matched perfect with the description. Walk to the beach was about 10-15 minutes and the area was very nice. Outside the house was just as nice with the back porch overlooking the marsh. 10/10 recommend if looking for a few days of unpaid vacation.

Nice quiet neighborhood
We had a check in time of 4pm, and the house had not been cleaned. The cleaning crew did come and we were a few hours late checking in. The trash had not been set out, so the cans were already full. The house had everything we needed as far as kitchen use. The porches and swings made for nice gathering areas. I replaced bolts on a wiggly toilet seat, you're welcome 😉
