"Check on was easy. Accomodation was clean. Facilities looking a little tired and probably need an upgrade."

"This location was a hidden gem. The outside doesn’t look like much but the room was completely renovated. But because it’s an amazing location, the cost per night was more expensive than an entire cabin near Port Arthur. But it was between Christmas and NYE 2024. There was wifi but it wasn’t strong enough for my partner to watch Kayo or other streaming services. "

"One of the reasons I chose to stay at the country club was for the walks around the lake and seeing and feeding the many ducks and different birds on and around it. Another reason is the indoor pool. However, the whole lake was fenced off and only a few ducks etc had stayed on. The following notice was on the website. BUT it states the start date as being the 1st of Jan AND it only mentions the closure of the golf course, NOT the lake. <> The last time I stayed here, the pool was closed...

"The staff is very polite and efficient. The rooms are good-sized, equipped with all amenities, housekeeping is efficient. The hotel is in a happening zone, two minute walk from the lively city park, library and cafes. Parking is stress free! "
