"Everything about the gardener lake house was wonderful. The drive-in is like going into another world down a long dirt road to privacy and spectacular view of the lake. Yet, you’re only a few miles from the town.The swimming on the other side of the dock is a nice Sandy bottom and easy for people and dogs. The house is well equipped for the kitchen and the living room is big, comfortable, and has great view of the lake. The side deck was the star! We took long drives along the coast and Gardner Lake house was the perfect homebase. We will be back! Thank you so much for sharing your home!"
" Beware - read the details of places carefully before booking. let me start by saying I take partial responsibility for this nightmare by not reading the description more carefully. I expected rustic cabin but I didn’t see that it did not have electrics or running water. I didn’t expect big gaps in the wall boards that allowed you to look through the walls of the cabin. Which might not have been so bad had there not been swarms of mosquitos that attacked while we were looking the place over. It was hard to find the place and we drive buy it at first because it looked like a homeless camp with an old beat up camper out front and an outhouse. Needless to say, we didn’t stay and when I reached out to host for even a partial refund, she said I should have read the description better, that it was all explained in the description and dozens of positive reviews proved that people
Love you the “Off-grid” rustic camping motif, and I should have brought my own bug spray repellent, so it was my fault. Okay lesson learned. "
