"We stayed one night - January 26. I came up from Boston with my adult child who had to take a training at the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine. Being January, everything in Castine was closed - no hotels, nothing. this was the next closest place. I was very pleased. THe room was pristine. Looks like brand new carpet and flooring. The room and bathroom were immaculate. THe beds were very comfortable and the towels were of high quality. "

"The inn is charming and comfortable and the service is exceptional. The only reason I have not given five stars in every category is the state of the stairways. Outdoors, the stairs to the entrance are uneven and hazardous. Inside, the stairs to the second floor are very steep and narrow, with shallow treads. Surprisingly for an inn of this caliber, there is no elevator."

"There are many things we LOVED about this stay. The doube sided fireplace, the huge soaking tub, the double balconies with the beautiful views. The bed was very comfy and the hotel is very convenient to all things Camden. However, there was a piece of trash that was left in the shower along with what appeared to be a cleaning rag. "What can I say? This hotel is absolutely amazing…fantastic…wonderful. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe it. I spend half the year traveling…mostly overseas. I stay in countless hotels. I think this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I live in Maine about an hour and a half away from Rockport. My wife and I needed to get away from things for a weekend. "Extremely easy self-check in after hours. Property was clean and staff checking out the next morning was very friendly and personable. Only comment was that floor seemed a little uneven - part of the charm of an older property I guess! Very quiet off-season stay - would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
