Our waterfront cabin is a fully modern four season retreat with everything that you need for a great stay! We have a perfect location with AMAZING close up river and mountain views from most windows!
Walk out the front door and you can fish, swim, float, bike, hike or just relax in an Adirondack chair in front of the Sacandaga River. Sit out on the deck and watch the eagles and osprey dive for fish! Walk five minutes to the left and see the nearby waterfalls! Our home is located on the Sacandaga River, at the tip of the Great Sacandaga Lake, where you can also spend a day on the water. The quaint town of Northville is a 5 minute drive and has many restaurants and shops. We are conveniently located next to the Adirondack Park and the Northville-Placid trail for great hiking. This unique vacation home is also a great winter getaway. Just minutes away from Lapland Lake for XC-skiing and close to Gore, Royal, and Oak Mountains for downhill skiing or snow tubing! The house is located between 2 lakes for ice-fishing and snowmobiling. It is only a 45 minute drive from Lake George and Saratoga Racetrack.
This is a pretty wood home that brings the Adirondack feel to your living space.
In the winter you will love to warm up in front of the remote controlled gas stove! Or try our heated double jacuzzi after a day on the slopes! On the first floor there is an open concept fully equipped kitchen and living room. There is also a master bedroom and a large bath with indoor hot tub/ jacuzzi and laundry.
Outside there is a large front deck and a screened in porch.
Upstairs are 2 more bedrooms and another half bath.
You will find that the house is well appointed with everything that you need. You won't need bottled water here! Our water comes from a deep drilled well and is double filtered for taste and purity. It has also been tested by the state of NY.
You can rest assured that our cabin is super clean and completely sanitized. Your safety and well being is our top priority and we have implemented extra measures to ensure that all surfaces in the cabin have been sanitized. Every doorknob and cabinet has been wiped and sprayed. Linens are sanitized in the washer too! All dishes are sanitized too! Read our reviews! We are very serous about cleanliness!

Lovely riverfront cabin.
We just wanted to get away for a few days and this was an excellent choice. Super quiet area right across the street from the river. House was very comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed with everything anyone would need. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic getaway
The property looked amazing on the VRBO site - but was even better in real life! We loved relaxing in the house while enjoying the beautiful view of the river. The house was clean, warm and homey and was very well equipped. There were many options for beautiful hikes in the vicinity but our favorite was hiking on the road along the river. We would highly recommend this house and fully intend on returning.

Relaxing retreat with incredible view
We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean and cozy. The location is great, with many hiking trails only a short drive away. The view of the river and mountains from the many windows and front deck is amazing! The kitchen was well equipped. In the evenings we really enjoyed sitting by a fire next to the river with the relaxing sound of the water.

A Wonderful Weekend Retreat
Bjorn and Sharon have done a wonderful job creating the most warm and charming cabin on the banks of the Sacandaga River. It was everything we were looking for, and more. Beds were extremely comfy and the cabin had all the provisions we needed. Just a short ride to Northville where charm and quaintness abound. We are already thinking about when we can return!

Beautiful location - Wonderful homeowners
This property was the perfect get away location for our group of friends looking for rest and relaxation. We happened to visit during the biggest snowfall of the winter and watching the snow come down with the beautiful river in the background was so very peaceful. The property itself is immaculate. The beds are very comfortable. The woodstove is a charming touch. The property owners communication was fantastic. We were concerned about snow removal given the situation but the owners ensured that things were covered in a timely manner. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this property.

The perfect getaway
The view from almost every room is just beautiful. We really enjoyed the deck and the screen porch. Also, the layout of the rooms was nice to gather, but also allowed an escape to find a quiet place to read and relax. This house was spotless, has high quality appliances and large washer/dryer. The location was very close to the Sacandaga and the town.

Great place
The weather was not the best this weekend, however, the rental was nice enough to make up for it. House was very clean and had everything we would need. I would recommend this rental to anyone who loves the outdoors. It was peaceful, relaxing and beautiful yet not far from towns to pick up anything you might have forgotten to pack!

Amazing Weekend
Had an amazing weekend celebrating my father’s retirement. The house was amazing, gorgeous views and the sound of the river flowing was so peaceful. While this was my first time renting a home, my father and brother have a lot of experience, they both said it was their favorite stay. They loved the notes displayed throughout the house giving detailed instructions and information about the home. The large binder filled with information was amazing we read through it and used the information inside to rent a boat for the day, had an amazing time on the lake fishing and soaking in the sights. It was an amazing weekend spent with family in an amazing home. Thank you so much for a great weekend!

A little piece of heaven!
The house is exactly as shown on the website. We went to ski at Lapland Lake XC ski center and it is within minutes of the lodge. The view out the front window is just beautiful. The beds are comfortable. Can't say enough. Will definitely stay here again.

Premium property at a value price!
The property is even better in person than in the pictures! The deer are really up the road and the eagles visited us twice across the creek during our stay! This is a premium property at a value price. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. The property is beautifully maintained and offers many amenities that most hotels do not offer, for a much better price. The interaction with the owners from start to finish were pleasant with quick responses. This was our first time using HomeAway and we will be sure to use it again.

Magical in the winter!
We just spent three days in this, cozy, adorable and warm cabin. The outside temperature ranged from 10 degrees to -25 and we were happily relaxing by the fire, watching the river freeze over. The sunsets and sunrises were gorgeous. Everything about this cabin was perfect; decor, amenities, cleanliness, location, information and instructions left by owners. We had hoped to cross country ski and snow shoe, but with the windchills around -35 we were happy to stay inside and enjoy the peacefulness and comfort provided by Bjorn and Sharon. We want experience every season at this magical spot!

Adirondack Adventures
Property wonderful- clean and so cute. we carefully waded in the river across street and it was so refreshing We saw shooting stars from porch and enjoyed a bonfire near the water. We rented boat to cruise the Great Sacandaga Lake- We did the Rail Ride- such a fun adventure We hiked the Tenant trail to waterfalls- glad we had our hiking sticks- trail was rocky and uneven,but it so worth it! Bjorn had encouraged us to check when restaurants were open - cause some stuff in area closed Monday or Tuesday- but we were able to find some great food and beverages! We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you!
