"The staff was kind and friendl. Many spoke enough English to help me out. The food was delicious. And the rooftop hot tub was a dream. The hallways and room are a little muggy at first, and the smell of wood is strong, but once I turned down the ac and spent enough time it was all fine. "

"This is located high on Bizan Mountain with great views of the city. Our room was spacious with excellent views. The Onsen is particularly relaxing - it is well laid out and the outdoor section allows you to leisurely soak while admiring the view. There are some nice places for walks around the property. The free shuttle to Tokushima station is appreciated. The dinner/breakfast are buffet-style and more than adequate for the price range. Definitely recommended if you have an extra day or two in...

"The hotel is excellent, and the staff was polite. However, even though I am a permanent resident of Japan, they asked to photocopy my Japanese Resident ID card, even after I told him, in polite Japanese, that this was against the law. Also, at check out, while I was waiting in line, two Japanese couples barged in front of me and were attended to first, for no apparent reason. I felt discriminated against, despite speaking the language and living in the country for 27 years."

"I saw many Japanese business people there, it is walkable to the Takushima Station, by taxi is under 1000 yen. I asked front desk staff about where is the nearest bus stop to get on buses to the Tokushima Station, but both the 2 staff on duty couldn’t give me a clear idea. Later I found out the bus stop is just 200 meters away: walk out from hotel main entrance, turn left walking to the cross road and turn left again. Only 250 yen to the Tokushima Station. "

"This is an excellent higher end business hotel with a very nice onsen. Right across from the JR Station and lot's of shopping and eating options. Our room was in the East Tower which had its own private entrance which is more convenient than entering via the hotel lobby. Recommended."

"This hotel is dated and has definitely seen better days. I had a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke :(. However, it was low cost and everything worked. The guy in reception was welcoming and friendly- made a particular effort to explain things, show me the free drinks in reception and hand me a tourist map. Location is walkable from centre (flat walk), but slightly further than ideal. Many dining options easily reached, but don’t expect much English spoken (have a translation app handy)."
