It’s a relaxing holiday everyone is friendly and welcoming. To get good swimming beaches you need to go to the outer islands but there is enough to do on the main island and can swim at the hotel.

"Overall the Tanoa is a great hotel, nice staff, clean and tidy with good facilities and amenities.They let themselves down by ridgedly sticting to the rule of no refunds. "I’ve been to a couple of places ever since I got to Tonga but this by far my favorite. So clean and they have cooking supplies and a whole kitchen in my studio room. It was a studio but it’s big. ‘Uliti was so sweet and professional. Wifi hardly worked but it wasn’t a problem cos I had my own hotspot. ..."

"Easy to book. Map was not accurate but we found it in the end! No wifi available. Rooms all clean and the property was well furnished. Excellent support from the property manager in the adjacent property who went above and beyond. Couldn't recommend her highly enough."

Hire yourself a car and drive around the island - it's easy to see all the sights in a day and essentially impossible to get lost!

The whale swim operators are very friendly and they don’ Try to hard sell you on there trips. Also there are a mix of Tongan and overseas staff so they cater for all. We used Whale swim fish and dive They were not the cheapest but it was worth it

Friendly Tongan people.Went to Free WesleyanChurch but only service for tongans,preaching in tongan,singing in tongan and tongans didnt talk to us and other palangi Not returning! Hihifo bus dirty & dangerous -driving with open door!Tropical weather.
