"We stayed here for 5 days and it was so relaxing! The resort is beautifully done with all the amenities: pool, spa, shops, restaurants, entertainment and private beach area with deck chairs for hotel guests. The food was great - We had breakfast included and ate a few time at their Fisherman's Grill restaurant. We saw they also offer half-board or all inclusive with a variety of food choices, if you prefer this option. The room was lovely and spacious - we booked a seaview room and it was directly on the beach. Had all the amenities, good air conditioning, shower and comfortable bed. The staff are excellent and so friendly. Always available to help and made our stay perfect! Would happily stay here again!"

"Z Hotel is a spectacular tropical Oasis in Zanzibar! The staff, especially Julia was fabulous, the grounds and decor were beautiful and the food was delicious! I would stay here everytime I would be lucky enough to visit Zanzibar and I will tell everyone I know not to look any further than Z Hotel."

"Loved the resort. We stayed in the Beach Junior Suite which was very close to the beach. The room is large and quite with a great bed and shower. The resorts grounds are well kept. The dining area is right on the water with fantastic views and accommodating staff. The food can be better, but that was our experience in all of Tanzania so can't fault this resort for it. "

"Flame Tree Cottages were an amazing find! We stayed here for 3 weeks, and every day was perfect! The staff are a complete credit to the hotel. They are super helpful, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. The cottages are super cute, and positioned as such you don’t have neighbours, just your own beautiful gardens to look over. The food is amazing (especially the jumbo prawns, chapatis, and coconut pumpkin curry) and the restaurant is a front row seat for the wonderful sunset. There is nothing like eating dinner with your feet in the sand! And if you forget your sandals, they are discreetly delivered to outside your door, thank you! The swimming pool is well equipped with sun beds and umbrellas and you can while away the time with just birdsong to keep you company. Staff will bring you drinks and snacks or meals by the beach, the pool or on your private veranda. We cannot rate Flame Tree Cottages highly enough. The staff and owners really care about their guests. Far better than an 500 room faceless hotel. Would recommend in a heartbeat. "
