"Married couple own the lodge. They are both very nice and helpful. They have four dogs. One dog bark's a lot. Bora Bora has lots of hungry stray homeless dogs. Perhaps they provided a home to some. Also, there are other houses next to the Lodge. People make noise. Need ear plugs. You need a car or scooter for transportation. The location is perfect - walking to a market, a beautiful beach, and several restaurants as well as Avis (in case one wanted to rent a car or a moped) and some places to book excursions. "From the moment we booked we have been delighted with the care owners and the managers have offered us. We were so looked after. The bungalow had all we needed and more. The rooms and beds were comfy and easy to maintain a comfortable temperature. The deck is so spacious it’s like having a whole extra room. We had a great girls trip to celebrate a milestone birthday and this was a spectacular place to do it. Nir and Tiare really got the extra mile to communicate and organize almost any activity or meet any need with genuine friendliness. "We have travelled quite a bit, and this hotel was the best that we have ever been to! This was our 5th hotel in French Polynesia (2nd in Bora Bora), and by farrrrrrrrr our favourite!!! From the reception at the airport to the moment we checked out, everyone was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! The room was absolutely beautiful, the property was immaculate, the spa was exceptional, the food was amazing, the gym was more than adequate, the views were breathtaking! Special shout out to Edouard Courgeau who made everything seamless and easy for us! He anticipated our needs and desires, surprised us with our favourite desert, and just made us feel very well taken care of! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this property for a trip to Bora Bora!!!"

The Black Pearl! The most luxurious private Over Water Bungalow in Bora Bora!

"This place was perfect!. We rented a car from Nir, which I would highly recommend. It rained all day the day before leaving so we drove around the island and checked out some restaurants/bars that were located in hotels and we for sure Had the best accommodations, area of the island and the best view with our own aquarium to to swim in everyday. Nir was so helpful and very fast to help with anything. I only had two questions and he was very prompt to answer them back. Side note about the island. If you stay there on New Year’s Day know all the stores and restaurants are closed this day. There is a contact in the bungalow to hire a private chef if wanted. They make fresh bread everyday at the local grocery store. Once we caught onto this we went every morning to get warm fresh baked bread.Even though we’re not big tv people having Netflix on the living room tv was nice to have."

"This is one of a kind property. We have travelled a lot and this would rate close to, if not at the top. Nir the owner has done an amazing job with his cottages to the point there has been articles written about them in travel magazines. The bathroom in particular is phenomenal. Nir is also extremely attentive to all the guests needs, going out if his way to help. Definitely staying there again when coming back to Bora Bora!!!"

Wonderful beach

"It was a truly wonderful experience – the beach is superb, rooms are comfortable, well airconditioned. Breakfast offers excellent coffee, local fruit, baguettes and cookies. Dinners are good, a restaurant on the sunset beach side is also 10-15 minute walk and a good local shop is within 2 minutes. Contact reception in advance to arrange a pick-up shuttle from the airport ferry dock. Renting bikes for a day from the reception to go round the island worked out well."
