Nice but Posting Needs Updating
I booked this place for my family (seven of us from 5-70) because it was close to Oban, and it served that need well. It also has lots of room, easy walk to Tralee Beach and the fish and chips place, a fireplace, and the person next door was extremely helpful and nice. That said, the directions we were given were not very accurate, and we drove by it twice before finally finding it. I still wasn’t convinced we were at the right place because the Tunnag Cottage sign featured so prominently on the listing is missing. We also planned to have a standalone dryer here since one was listed, but it wasn’t there which threw us off. The little parking area is also shared with the house next door, which required us having to ask the residents to move a car so we could leave. It was done quickly, but our group was in one vehicle. Not sure a group with 2 vehicles would find enough space.

Bigger than it looks in pics
It was a great place to stay. Much bigger than I was expecting. Maureen was very helpful and friendly. Follow the written instructions- the Vrbo link to google maps led us astray. The kitchen had all the essentials .

Great location and cottage
The house provides easy access both to Glencoe and Oban while being in an uncongested area. Cute, pleasant cottage, and very friendly and helpful host - I had gotten my dates wrong, and showed up a day early, but they accommodated us anyway. We are grateful!

Great stay
The cottage was clean, cozy, and much larger than I expected! It was in a fairly out of the way location (but not far at all from Oban) that was great for avoiding city traffic. Our host Maureen was very nice and friendly and If/when we travel back to Scotland, and plan on visiting Oban, we would happily stay here again.

We had a wonderful time exploring Oban. We had tickets to ride the Jacobite Express train, but it was cancelled. We think we enjoyed Oban even more!

This is a quiet, comfortable, well-appointed cottage—a real gem. It is a great base of operations for a family interested in exploring the surrounding areas and spending relaxing downtime together. (On-site laundry is a huge bonus, especially if you’ve been camped out in hotels. It also had reliable internet access and a smart TV to keep the kiddos happy.) The property managers were so gracious, friendly and helpful.

Wonderful stay at a perfect place
WE had such a wonderful stay at the Tunnag Cottage in Oban. From the Pink Market down the road, to the walk to the beah everything was perfect and we will have life long memories from this trip. Check in was easy, the property mangers were close by (but gave us complete privacy) and the hospitaity was wonderful. Definite 5 star stay.
