Not a good place to stay
We arrived late after check in which is before 5:00 pm. I arranged to have the keys in the lock box which were there waiting for me. The problem I had was trying to find the actual unit we rented. The parking lot for the whole Club Ocean Villa is very, very poor. It took me a good 30 -40 minutes of riding in the complex before my daughter showed up and she and my son in law helped look for it. Finally we found our unit tucked away in the darkest part of parking lot. No lights what so ever! When we went into the unit we could smell that someone was trying to cover up the musty smell that this unit held. We started unpacking and immediately noticed that the bedrooms both had blankets on them that hadn't been washed for who knows how long. I immediately went to my car and grabbed 2 blankets I keep in there all the time. Thank god we didn't purchase the linen package, we brought our own. It was a cold night to say the least, the air conditioning was set on a timer and got down to 69 degrees inside and constantly ran. We woke up and got ready as soon as we could so we could get outside. We came back and it was completely different! Was 75 degrees in mid afternoon and not a cool air coming from anywhere in the unit. Instructions tell you not to touch the thermostat so we started the ceiling fans, one which was in the master bedroom I thought was going to fall on me if under it. The master bedroom was so out dated and the exhaust fan sounded like a freight train running when turned on. Needless to say I was very disappointed. Pictures on the site look nothing like we experienced. So I hope they take this as a hint to upgrade your unit. Take some pride in it rather than just making money.
