"It was a really lovely stay, perfect location and friendly staff. The room was clean and cosy although very dark, bed not that comfortable but ok for one night. There were few plugs, so if you need them for work would consider an extension lead. The reception was beautiful, wonderful Christmas decorations. If you have trouble sleeping would not stay here as very loud and busy location. I would stay again, overall excellent. "

"Lovely hotel right on banks of the Tyne River. Great staff, large comfortable room with a full window view of the river and comfy beds. Breakfast was very good in the morning, lots of choice and tasty too. My only disappointment was the shower in the bathroom. It was quite weak and very old. A proper updated shower cubicle would be a great idea. Leaving that aside, there's a lot to like about this hotel."

"An excellent hotel conveniently located opposite Newcastle Central Station and within easy walking distance to many shops, bars,and attractions, the reception staff are so friendly and helpful and are a credit to The County Hotel. This was my grandson's first stay in a hotel so wanted to make it a good experience for him and this hotel did exactly that. Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again next time I'm in Newcastle."
