"It is a lovely hotel but the housekeeping let us down. We came back to our rooms late afternoon to find we had no towels. The phone didn’t work and so we had to go back down to Reception. Some of the female waitresses in the bar weren’t very friendly. It’s a 5 star hotel. But the decor and position is lovely. Food was lovely too. So I would go back. "

"We wanted a more western style hotel after 2 weeks travelling the country and the Barcelo delivered that! The rooftop bar was lovely as well as the pool areas. Breakfast was plentiful. It was a bit far (25 minute walk) from the sites we were there to see, and the noise from the street on Saturday night (horns, yelling, talking) went on until 6:30am!!! If we were to visit Tangier again we would choose something in the old part of town. Depends on what you are looking to see and do. "

"We took a ferry from Spain and upon check in at Palais Zahia were invited to relax in the dining area with tea and cookies. The hotel is located among all the shops and restaurants so everything is close, although be prepared for a bit of walking. Breakfast offered quite a variety and we found the staff to be helpful. The air conditioner didn’t get the room as cool as I would have liked but it was comfortable "
