"Balsa Surf Camp is like staying with family! It has a wonderful atmosphere, and the location is nice and quiet within a very easy walk to town. For a surfing adventure, everything is at your fingertips and the team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the daily yoga, thank you to the wonderful instructor Darcy Lynch. I will visit Montanita again, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere other than Balsa. "

"Right on the beach, free yoga once a week, breakfast is included (and delicious) and the hotel is generally quiet (though one night these awful French tourists were drunk and making a racket and security never came to shut them up, which was surprising and a little disappointing). "There was no hot water, no real curtains in the room. Being a girl alone this was scary at night. my friend actually broke her foot trying to walk down the steep hill. I am happy to provide proof. I didn’t have a blanket. No food or drinks service were provided during the week, only on the weekend. My room smelled like mold. I felt unsafe because the lock wasn’t secure. "
