Annual Northern Michigan Trip
The house was just as beautiful in person as in the pictures! We enjoyed the house and immediate yard/location of the property....however, the busy highway is directly across from the small lake/pond so we heard and saw the traffic all day while sitting around the bon fire. Also noticed many flying and dead bee's inside. This is not a negative review by any means, but i do wish i knew about the highway before we got there.

Nice quite hideaway
Such a BEAUTIFUL location. Off the main roads enough to wear you don’t have traffic nor do you hear much of it but easy to get to the main road and get into town for whatever you may need. The house is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and makes for a relaxing getaway.

Great getaway spot
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and well furnished. No AC however the breeze off Tower Pond kept the house cool, along with the fans. Definitely reccomend booking this house!

Absolute must-stay!
This cabin is GORGEOUS! It’s so spacious inside, and it’s fully stocked, from the kitchen to the closets with extra pillows and blankets. My aunt and i stayed here for two nights, and sadly we didn’t get to spend more time in the cabin, since we were out from sunrise to midnight! But the time we DID spend in it was wonderful. 5 stars!

On the water
Everything was wonderful about the setting except the road noise across the pond all day and all night. It was also too warm in the house to only have fans for cooling.

Perfect Up North Getaway!
Great central location for our trip up north! All the major locations were around 30-60 minutes away (except Traverse City which is 2 hours away). We enjoyed days in relaxing around the campfire and coming back after a long day of exploring.

Weekend Getaway
The renting process was easy, check in and check out process was easy. The house had everything that we needed. It was very quiet neighborhood. We saw 2 eagles fly over the house and one landed in the tree in the backyard. The wildlife seems to thrive in this area, was great to watch and listen to.

The property is secluded and incredibly peaceful. We enjoyed sitting next to the pond under the covered swing while the rain fell all around us. The home is clean, but the master bedroom does have a slight musty smell - there don't appear to be any leaks anywhere. It's a little drive to cell/internet service, but we appreciated the "down time." The only downfalls to the property was that there weren't many board game/entertainment options for rainy indoor days. We were very surprised to find that there were only a few half empty rolls of toilet paper in the home, so we had to drive to a store to purchase supplies for our stay. It was a pleasant stay and we LOVED Manzana's in town!

Great place to get away from everything
We stayed here for 12 days as a part of an "unplugged get away" family vacation to Northern Michigan. Property was as advertised. We spent about half of our time at the house just relaxing, playing games, paddle-boarding, cooking out, puzzling, watching movies, reading and resting. The other half of our time was spent with day-trips to state parks, Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, Ocqueoc Falls, Clear Lake, Traverse City, and Charlevoix. There were a few maintenance related issues but they were minor...a broken hinge on the laundry room door, a sweating toilet in the half-bath, and a rug that probably needs replaced as it smelled (when the humidity rose) like it might have been used as a "relief spot" for a four-legged friend at some point in the past. The location really was perfect for our purposes and we'd definitely return if we're in the area again.

Family getaway
The house is beautiful and it is in a great location. One of my major reasons for a no so great over all review. Is the refrigerator smelled of dead fish and was not working. The freezer worked but the refrigerator wasn't even cold enough to keep the drinks let alone food cold, so we lived out of the cooler. Some things were broken when upon arrival. I tried to send a message to the contact given but seeing as we had no service in the house/area, it took me till we left to go to Mackinaw to send the messages. There are great hiking spots and plenty of state parks to go to in the area. Seeing as we have teenagers the no service or internet upset them... Which in turn they let us know about it! It's a great getaway, to getaway... Once they accepted it things they were better with us lol I wouldn't recommend swimming in the river, our son put his feet in while fishing and managed to make friend with leeches. The place is really nice , they just need to fix the few things that were broken.

Great place to get away
I wish I could’ve give like a 4.8 or 4.9 overall. The location was nice and secluded. The pictures were very accurate. We showed up and moved in and out without any hassle. It was all just as advertised. I’d be interested to come back in the summer and try some kayaking or canoeing. The only downside was that the freezer wasn’t working properly and I couldn’t get the gas fireplace to work. The latter could just as easily be my fault. It was very nice renting a place and getting exactly what you bargained for. Good, honest renting folks! Great place to relax.

Good but a few problems
Arrived Thursday evening to find a big puddle of water in the upstairs full bathroom. Water was coming from leaking toilet. Could not use bathroom, had to use towels to keep mopped up. Called property manage Friday am, he thought this problem had been fixed and hoped to get repair person there to fix, but no one ever showed up. Hoping for an adjustment on this one. Most of the doors would not latch when closed. Had to keep all exterior doors deadbolted to keep them closed. Many light bulbs were burned out. Ice maker was broken and could not be used. Place was clean. Driveway was plowed after fresh snow both Friday and Saturday am.

We enjoyed the cottage which was roomy and very pretty. We were disappointed to learn that the gas fireplace was not working as we were looking forward to reading and conversation in that room.
