"When I went to check in to the property, I could not access using the door code provided because the smart lock was not working. I had to call customer service to get assistance and was eventually given the code for the lock box with a key. We found out 2 days later that the smart lock being broken was a known issue because they had sent a handyman out 2 times prior but failed to fix it, yet still provided this as the primary mode of entry into the property. When I walked in, there was a strong food odor in the kitchen they seemed to be attempting to mask with an air freshener that was out of the air freshening liquid. The bed in the basement was caving in, so when sleeping the first night, my husband and I were rolling into each other in the middle. That only lasted the first night though, because when he got out of the bed that next morning, the bed broke. They sent a handyman to fix it the next day, and he stated that one side of the bed had been propped up on paint cans, which is ultimately what caused the caving and breaking. He removed the bed frame and we slept with mattress and box spring on the ground for 10 nights while I repeatedly followed up until they finally sent someone back to fix it. They did issue a partial refund for the inconvenience. The last straw for us was the ant infestation that revealed itself 2 nights prior to check out, requiring us to throw away ~80% of the food from cabinets. They were responsive to inquiries, just very, very slow to act"

"This townhouse was great for what we needed for a week's stay with two adults and two children. The main bedroom was spacious and the smaller bedrooms were perfect for our children. The location was amazing - it was convenient for access to all major roads in the area, lots of dining and groceries, and we loved the quiet neighborhood. Two parking spaces out front were great. We had one minor issue during our stay, but communication with the host was quick and easy. The main con for us was the cleanliness - and we do not consider ourselves to have super high expectations in this category, I would imagine guests that are sticklers for cleanliness would have a difficult time. There was a pretty big stain in the shower (we just avoided stepping there) and the master bedroom ceiling fan was so dusty it looked fuzzy (we didn't use the fan). The living room couch also felt dirty and made our daughter's skin itchy, so we draped a sheet over it during our stay. For us, these were minor inconveniences and were relatively easy to resolve."

"Great location. Old neighborhood and old house but it was nice for a good deal, wouldn’t stay more than a week. They provided new pillows for us. Needs a new couch. Has everything you need for a small family. Great communication with property management."

"Inside the property was filty. Everything was covered in a fine layer white dust, much like plaster dust. There was a dirty wash rag draped over the shower head. The couch was filthy. We contacted the manager and received a full refund because we did not want to stay there. We ended up at the Embassy Suites in Ashburn. "
