"We were looking for a place close to Dallas that would allow us to have a small place that would be kayak accessible. We found this location to be surprisingly quiet even though it has close neighbors and access to Cedar Creek Lake was easy right off the end of the property. We used our own kayaks although the host has boats available for guests. We also found a remarkable restaurant only miles from the cabin for a special anniversary dinner."

"The property itself wasn’t terrible but was not ideal either. It is tightly sandwiched between several mobile homes, lending itself to loud neighbors. The boat ramp is NOT accessible for motorized boats as the water is too low - only discovered after getting our boat stuck 50 yards out, pushing it back by hand, and damaging the motor. The check in email didn’t arrive until I called several times to figure out arrival and they differed from instructions provided from the POC. When we arrived after midnight, the door code didn’t work and my family (with a 10 and 6 year old) was locked out while we tried the two phone numbers given and finally went to the main property management line where they answered immediately. The home itself is brand new but there is a serious ant problem. All in all, the property was not quite as cozy as it appeared and the amenities weren’t advertised appropriately. Communication was non-existent and unclear, making it even less enjoyable. "

"Enjoyed our stay right in the water front. If you take your boat, the boat launch that is not far from the house will not allow you to turn around to launch your boat. Owner of the house was super helpful and very sweet! She called to make sure we made it ok and called the day we left to thank us for staying. House was a nice size for our 2 boys and their families to come visit every day while we there. The Johnson Family"
